whoa. An unlimited ammo "wunderwaffe" in a tomahawk. The thrown retriever/redeemer could use some rotation.

Spawning it wouldn't always work correctly as it needs to be something that can be obtainable in all maps without the mapper having to place anything. Also getting working animations that look nice is an issue.

The one who isn't competent enough to care or know how. Which is why we need a way for it to be added regardless of the map its applied to.

How about this, a door on the map that you open for $5,000 (Hell's Kennel) and like 20 hellhounds with a significant amount of heath flood out of the room attacking the players. If all the dogs get killed the Retriever is revealed. To make matters better/worse these dogs are not effected by wonderweapons so you better get good with normal guns.
The door then closes and it must be done again at least 1 round later for another 5k if someone else wants the Retriever  ;) Winning!

lol interesting idea, the issue is we are looking for non map specific ways to give it to the players. We will still provide a way to place it in the map so things like that could be possible but we need something that could be done in comosea, dales dock, compound just any map that if the mapper was to go and update the mod itself the retriever would work.

Idea for gettting retriever. Use the 3 teddys like it was in stock maps with music. For redeemer use the 3 teddy's again for points.

I think that was a cooldown proces not losing your retriever.

Map specific? You couldn't just have this setup available to every mapper? What I feel like you are saying is, "We're going to find some generic way of getting it like - put it in the mystery box, buy it off the wall for 10k or shoot a blank wall for 5 seconds while chewing gum and jumping 3 times.

Also, making the PAP version do infinite damage will ruin V1.1 I don't care how hard you make it to get. There is no need for any weapon to do infinite damage. It takes away any feeling of danger if there is no situation that you can't get out of with a Thundergun blast or a throw of the Redeemer. At least add a drawback, like if you use the Retriever/Redeemer more than 3 times in a round it starts spawning in Hellhounds or another Boss. Something to counter the effect of a completely OP weapon. We're trying to make V1.1 better and that doesn't mean just make the zombie killing experience easier.

I really hope the Redeemer will be a tough challenge for all maps. But if the redeemer still has infinite damage, Price's hat belongs to me!  :)

the redeemer should remain infinite damage (countering tomikaze here) it should stick to MOTD where as far as i were aware, charged 3 times it was instakill,  who cares if its making zomibe killing easier, thats more fun and by this were making v1.1 an awesome update
