I am having a problem with the lighting in one section of my map.
(Fraps washes out my images ::) )
From far away, the floor looks fine... (they are models btw):
...but as you get closer and closer, they start getting darker until they just look black:
Here are more Examples. Changing my looking angle seemed made it look different too:
I also found it strange that the lighted ones sorta have a orangeish tint, all except the last pic where it actually looks normal, with a blueish tint. (All the lights in that area are pure white) Anyone know whats up with this?
EDIT: its also happening to those crate models too if you look at that one pic.

I have a question ? do you have a the texture "Light Grid Volume" in your map ? a box around your playable area with that texture ? that should it making better :)

Okay strange man,
I have sometimes the same issue but then with the textures if I made a too long brush it will be darker then the a small brush.
but at the moment I don't have any ideas, I hope that some other people maybe a idea has :)

i guess the problem is the sun color and sun dir, i think they're the culprits edit them and check

Could also be fog settings. I got same stuff in my first map, which was super annoying. To fix it, I turned terrain to patches and increased vert count

Why don't you just use the in-built F12 screenshot command in WAW?

Good point...

Did you add a caulk box around your map, with sky_rhi2 texture on the inside faces?, this may be worth a try, it helps with shadows etc.

No I havent. I'll give that a try.

always need this, engine cant render lights properly if there is no encapsulation
pretty sure it doesnt need a texture, but must at least be a caulk box, completely sealed

It does need skytexture on inside faces, otherwise it doesnt work

Alright, adding the caulk box fixed it mostly. Thanks to whoever suggested that :P
I think my sun settings still need adjusted, however, because i'm still getting some weird hue differences in two models that are next to each other.

These are my current sun settings. Needless to say, I don't have a full understanding what each of the settings do, basically I want an orange-ish environment lol. See anything that should be changed?

Do you have a lightgrid volume?

Do you have a lightgrid volume?
Yes

What about over the area itself (lightgrid volume)?
-
Are your lights targeting an info null? And using one of these settings?

May be better having the lights coloured instead of the sun and have the worldspawn settings back to default perhaps.
