Title: [BO] Shangri-La Weapons Mod

I stopped adding weapons as I reached the weapon limit, and since this is a mod and not a map, I could not remove the other weapons from the original map.

The mod also includes Who's Who and keeps the stairs leading up to the pack a punch machine enabled after the power is turned on.


At the moment, the Mule Kick model refuses to swap, and the fx also refuses to play; however the machine and the perk still function.

Edit: B34R had incorrect ammo stats

Installation:
Navigate to our black ops install directory. Go to zone/common and back up the file called zombie_temple_patch.ff.
Extract the .zip that I provide to your installation directory. It will ask to overwrite files, allow it. The mod should now be installed.

Why do BO1 modders usually have the weapon name written out like 'M1927' instead of just the actual wall chalk? I'm guessing you just replace the images or something to get that text there so why not use the proper chalks? ???

Looks solid!

Glad to see Shangri-La getting some love. I also appreciate the fact that you didn't strip out any of the original weapons to put these in.

Yeah, all you do is replace the stock chalk image. Idk about others, but I prefer having the weapon name there just because I like how it looks.

He did that because he thought it was cooler and better than just a chalk outline

Uh oh, the mod doesn't work for me.

It can't load something called a "gztorch" apparently?

I don't have Shangri La :( This is seriously good work, Glad people are modding BO1 now, and this is even more incentive for me to buy DLC lol, keep it up man

I replaced the chalks with written out text because of how Treyarch applied the texture in radiant. Since I replaced the PM63 with the M1927, the chalk would be oddly stretched.

Do you have any guess as to how I can get the mod to work?
I'm also curious to know if anyone else has had the same issue with running the mod.

When I boot up Shangri-La, it crashes halfway into the loading process and I get this error message:

Couldn't load image '~~gzombie_torch_s-rgb&$white-l'

I presume this is related to some sort of gun or bit of fx in the mod that might be broken?

Shangrila crashes without it, giving "missing XXX.iwi" errors. Some of the materials I assume must be in a MP componant, and were not copied to the DLC packs

took me ages to find this out too

There was no answers to this problem on any activision support page, or anywhere on the Steam support Forums

I "eventually" saw someone mention it in a comment on a youtube video lol

Treyarch reuse assets everywhere. 99% of gun sounds are reused.
Example: all pistols use the same reload sounds

I realise that, but all other maps ( except one other, think that was COTD ) work without installing the multiplayer

Should have been put in common.ff after the DLC release, or at least told us that both componants of the game are required to be installed i guess. Id even prefered them "forcing" me to install muliplayer with a warning "you have no choice, install it or dont play zombies - love - Treyarch" lol

Bad news for me, then. I bought Annihilation because of your mod, but I think Kap 40 is overpowered as starting pistol, as RE45 was (for me) on Rollon's mod.

Really? I thought Infinitly Bored Infinity ward reuses other Assets, such as Reloads and models. not Geyarch Treyarch.

I nerfed it. It does the same damage as the M1911 did.

Have either of you noticed if this mod changes wallbuys in moon? Everytime that i've installed it, played shangri-la and then moon, i've realized that. Wallbuys I mean the names of weapons just like they are on shangri-la with this mod.

By installing the iwd from the mod, the images in every map are replaced by mine. To fix this, go into your root/main and delete any iwd after iw_41.iwd
