After Beta testers and I worked to resolve several issues, I believe the map is in shape for a public release. Lots of late nights til 5:40 AM have made this map solid, functional, and really fun to play  ;D I hope everyone will give it an honest playthrough and provide some nice feedback.

haha yeah its for rapid testing. And yeah I got my internship in CO again, so I got multiple projects going on.. so its hard to get myself to work on something for the hell of it :P

focusing on finishing up the BO1 weapons. tinkering with the idea of using an iPhone to activate different traps that're home appliances that double as zombie traps (sprinkler with acid/dryer that ejects a flame/garage door closes and zombies kill themselves sliding into it and all you hear are thuds  :P)

Idk if Bo weapons really fit this map style. This is a good example of a map where AW weapons would be a good fit.  I'd reccomend those, if you can get them. But it's your map you can do what you want ;)

you're probably right.. just not sure if id have the bandwidth to add making the weaponfile to my porting pipeline (i have a fulltime job this summer). BO had modtools so you get the weapon file with all the stats (also sounds). I want to get my BO weapon mod done, gave up the last time because of the dreaded converter.

They are found in root/main/iw_00.iwd. The entire weapons folder is in there so just drag it to raw/weapons or where ever you want.

thanks, been trying to suss that for ages as i know id seen trem use those files in a converting weapons video :)

fraction of the range of the Thundergun, but all of the effect  :D

doesnt make sense to the map so it may be a secret weapon.

Maybe the weapon is found in a secret underground room/bunker that either unlocks after a certain # of rounds (please god, not 22) or else the weapon is the reward for completing a series of objectives.

probably going to have the hammer be the sub-wonder-weapon (like the VR-Hyena relastionship) and have another non-cod weapon be a EE type unlock.

added black ops perks back in. Want to replace Deadshot with a custom, but im going to try to make it work.. like the xbox version, before I do. maybe using player angles, the ads flag, and the zombie head origins.. gunna be some vector calc :p

Looking at the reference picture from the first post it looks like the glass windows on the catwalk area open in a couple places, that might make a cool escape for people who are getting trapped from both sides by the zombies to at least have one window in the middle of the catwalk that is open.

I'm looking at the structure and it's all the same color of white/gray. I'm not entirely sure what to change or where but it could use some contrasting colors, something to add some variety. I understand we are only a few weeks into the contest so maybe you were already planning that.

Lastly, for now, having zombies pull off boards and climb over wood debris looks out of place, like maybe the zombies should just climb over the concrete.

yeah I definitely agree. Ill smash some of those windows out  :D.

I added a yellow mid detail on the walls (look at the kitchen)

and yeah the wood doesnt belong definitely will switch to hard plastics/metal. but I want to keep atleast 2/4 of the entries boarded up

Or by coincidence the mansion is build on an abandoned cemetery and the zombie rise from the garden too

Cool gameplay video Jay. With the different levels and routes you can take its got a multiplayer feel to it as well. It'd make for some good competitive gameplay.

it is, but you have to pair with what trap you want by pressing F on the trigger. Then you get a waypoint on that trap  and can activate the trap from about a half-maps distance away.

Would make this map 10x better if you had the palm trees being vigorously being blown and the estate was on a mountainside and you could see a storm brewing at sea. Still, the map is great as-is.

It's actually rather easy, you can ever just convert the weapon file for the weapon and altweapon from Black Ops and it should work fine. Make sure the anims for GL are converted also ofc.

Could've just taken the BO2 models from the campaign mission Colossus on that fake island level. I mean, the joints would then be partially set up already then. Still, this works and it does make some pretty nice models.

nah he's right, if you jump within 256 units on the rocket icon you get launched up. Powerups will also gravitate to you  :D

Trying to figure out how to make the golf ball loaded hopper act differently, but be equal in power. Thinking maybe since the tennis balls are shot once every 5 seconds and are insta-kill, maybe the golfballs shoot 5 times a second and do 1/5th zombie damage, and the turret may not focus on one zombies

Shouldn't that be the other way round? I think a golf ball to the head would hurt more than a tennis ball ;D

The PAP sounds is easy, just drag the fire sound onto Audacity (if you don't have it just get it it's free) and then drag the PAP sound/s onto it, and export. Done. ;)

Umm don't do it that way or else you will have double the amount of sounds in your mod. The proper way is to make a second alias for the pap sound using the upgraded sound that calls the normal fire sound.

Went on a caulk-a-thon the other night, and went HAM on making everything that should be detail detail. Getting good reports on the framerate, so this leaves room for some additional detailing before release :)

As much as I like the normal wonder weapons, I like Spaceman's Idea more, and just add the MK 2...

Also Are you going to add Dive2prone for PHD Flopper?

I dont even have BO2 and Im out of money from Halo 5 and BO3.. and no probably not at this point. Im focusing on the struggle between custom transport systems (ziplines and stuff) and zombie derpiness atm

There's just one thing I've always been thinking about, it's just that the custom textures you choose look a bit cartoon-ish or something like that, like it's are pitch clean almost everywhere.

thanks man means a lot. I do want to do adjustments and another layer of detail after the map is deemed fully functional by the beta testers. got some guys doing regular coop testing. but I do want it to look like the outbreak was only a 4-5 days ago. The zombies knocked over things and got some blood and dirt everywhere, some plant life is dying, but its not like the whole building is decaying.

Ill take your advice and youll see some changes in the release pics/trailer :) Im aiming for November 7th.

Jei, I can't take all the Credit, the co-op bugs I would never have discovered without the help of Nathiri, plus, he discovered a few places to get to where zombies couldn't get you.

Great map. Really liked the custom perk, it really makes traversing the map a lot easier. Would be nice though if more than one spot showed up at a time.

is this all one thing? elaborate please.. I not able to replicate it over here. was this coop? was it right after a move? Ill check maybe i didnt disable both triggers when using either method of moving the elevator.. you probably called while it was cooling

-player is snapped down onto the slide instead of clunky straight lines
-respawning zombies wont contribute to the endgame progress

-No Stances Available fix for going down on the zipline

I still don't see how it's bad for a wall weapon to be in the box
- because it reduces the chances of getting something that "can only" be obtained "from" the box to begin with

-meteors have meteor sounds
-dying up in PAP in coop wont cause zombies to continuously spawn, making it unable to complete the round

- changes to some of the coloring of the map
- rounded corners of the railings on the opening in the ceiling of the kitchen (for better flow)
- you can no longer sprint in solo revive if you kill a police officer

That function isn't applied before damage is done to a zombie - that is post damage. So this method won't work, you still we be able to do damage to the zombie.

how would you recommend disabling damage to a zombie from a specific player? I have to do the change teams in the elevator because (self.ignoreme = true;) fails and if one person is in the elevator and one person out, the zombies get confused

I don't think switching the player's team is a good idea, I would instead modify the get_zombie_point_of_interest function in _zombiemode_utility.gsc

yeah but I really just need to not do the change teams thing. Right now I am sorta doing that, theres a cylinder type deal going on in the elevator that if zombies are in it while the elevator is moving they are respawned

The map was fun, we played it this past weekend. Was quick and not too difficult to figure out. The gravatron perk really fit this map and made it more fun to hop around, and I had fun on the slide many times, lol.

glad you enjoyed it haha yeah I don't like difficult to find/tough to figure out things in zombies. did add the end game/build able turrets for those who like to scavenger hunt. grav-a-rita definitely changes the way you view the map once you buy it, glad people appreciate it :)
