Oh boy, where do I begin... this map was the first ever custom zombies map that I actually beat. The easter egg is simple, but fun. There's a jukebox with a great selection of songs if you're a hard rock fan. The weapon selection is AMAZING. I've never seen weapons like these.
My only complaint is that it's a box. It's way too easy to start training in this map (Not a fan of training).

Its kinda obvious why this is my (and probably many others) favorite map even only being released a few short days ago, this map is amazingly fun and very similar to black ops 1 moon (actually even better than moon in a few cases :D )
the detail throughout most of the map is amazing although a few areas feel really bland, the easter egg was extremely fun to complete as I was part of the team who was the first to do so even if some of the voice acting was way over the top. The weapons were beautifully done and the map layout also reminds me a lot of bioshock which is another added bonus. There is so much to do to avoid getting board including keeping the excavators from destroying the base, unlocking the origins fists, and figuring out the map. The pack a punch spawn is also one of the best things ever as if you die, upon respawn, you have a chance to arm yourself with an MP5 and a PES already there. The nova crawlers also give you a free perk if you can get 100% accuracy so that helps with survival a lot more as well. Overall this is probably the best custom map ever made so far.

- Just an amazing map. The detail on the map was great, the play through of it was amazing as well. The black ops 1 mod made the map just have a great feel overall. Just enjoyed the entire gameplay of the map from start to finish. Minus the few minor issues, it was defiantly one of my favorite maps I have ever played.

Why: The map is just so random and fun. My friends and I played it at around 3 AM and had an absolute blast. The weapons, easter eggs, colors, playermodels, and the humor entirely was just fantastic.

I would have picked maps like Requiem or Leviathan but I feel both still need some work before being considered final releases, and the version I played originally on NachtDTW was so outstanding I was instantly hooked. Easily played this map more than any other custom map to date and genuinely feel it is one of the best laid out, most balanced maps to ever be released on this scene.
The reason why this map stood out so much also was down to it coming off the back of a lot of poorer maps I had tried before this one. Visually it easily stood toe to toe with any stock map and had some very nice custom features included to give it a unique feeling.

Why: I love the chaos of the map. There's no clear reason or explanation for why you're there. You're just there and you need to deal with it. Everyone's trying to make a storyline, but this map was literally made from a bunch of "Screw it. I'm putting this there." It turned our really good for what it was and was pretty intense at times. It was also one of the few maps I could play with friends without lagging to hell :D. The weapons are unique and are fun in their own way. And what would be a post about Purple Dimension without mentioning the maze? That maze hurt my brain so much I had a headache 2 hours afterwards and I only went in it for 2 minutes. Overall, probably the funnest map I've ever played and I hope for a sequel. :troll:

Very cool map idea, fun to play solo and even more with friends. Being randomly put in a house, troll your comrades or make an epic last stand :D , life changing map ^^

Even though it is only in Beta Mode, it is a great map and doesn't have game crashing bugs. The feel of the map makes it feel like it's a whole other game which is a style I love. Also adding in extra gamemodes like chaos and turned from BO2 really makes it unique in it's own way. I love the way it was all put together and that is why this is my favorite map.

This map is probably one of the most detailed of all time. The sky is purple flying and trippy. The only gun from WaW is the ray gun and the rest are from other games. There is even a gun or two from Titanfall (I know bad but gun's good). The halo AR is in it. It's big but not too big. There's a buildable, a quest, 85K ending and even a maze so trippy there are epilepsy warnings all around it....I almost died.

My favorite map is Chromastone10's Collingwood CPH
reasons-
if your looking for an Outlast horror aspect but dont play mob of the dead, Collingwood is for you, as this map brings chills down your spine, and one of the only maps intended for a scare factor that doesnt include jumpscares.
This map also features:
-Witches from buried
-Chubby Maintinance zombie (similar to outlast)
-Hells retriever
-Black ops 2 weapons
-Black ops 1 PPSH
-and more

This map doesn't ever get boring to me, it is a fairly sized map, with lots of detail. It has alot of fun challenges and a fun easter egg to complete. The weapons are also really cool as well.

It has an amazing easteregg (which I can never fully beat), lots of fancy addons from jumping jacks to moon launch pads. It looks 100% like black ops 1, I tricked at least 5 lele into believing it was a dlc. It is a huge map, but you seem to always be able to get to your teammates before they die even on the other side of the map. It has so many dynamic features to change up the gameplay.

Well I'd have to say that the style of maps that I like are extremely detailed maps, usually they have the most blood sweat and tears put into them. Its difficult for me to say what is the most appealing map to me, but if I had to choose I would go with Comosea. I have to say that when I first saw that trailer the song got me so pumped up to play zombies, and the joint efforts of Radi's mapping along side with the UGX mod was epic. The map stood out among all maps and still finds a place in mods folder (or heart - either way great map). I don't tend to download maps very often, and a lot of times they get removed from my mods folder, but Comosea has been on there since the release of the map, and I'd love to see a 1.1 remake of the map.

The reasons i like this is as follows, Before this map, i was starting to just enjoy any zombie map that had any custom content i could get my hands on, mainly i played the absolute crap out of Kino Der Toten, Beachtown and Lorkeep Station (yes, i was a lorkeep fanatic). But then i saw the WIP for this and I was competely blown away, mainly because of all the detail that was in it, all the custom content and how awesome it just looked when the initial footage of it dropped. Then i discovered how fun it was to play the OTHER game modes such as zombie king and and Chaos mode, as well as playing through some of the solo challenges such as the Drop zone challenge and shovel only. I still play the crap out of Chaos mod to this day as it is so intense and also how you can win it by calling in your M.O.A.B once you get enough kills to do so. In summary, if you want to play a zombie map that requires something more than to successfully run a circle train, which will reward you with awesome steaks and a hell of a good time with friends or by yourself, then Project viking is the best map for you.

Reason-This map reminds me so much of Black ops 1. Moon being my favorite map ever made by Treyarch, Leviathan is a no brainer. The replay value that this map has is endless. The detail, the Easter Eggs , the free perks, heck it might even be better than moon in some aspects. Most maps wear thin after a few play through's, this will play great for ages.

Damn this is so unique, this map make me be back to play zombie, look like a BO maps, the damn great MOON map.
The water part are so perfect, the temple, all the deseign, this is my favorit custom map ever, so much detail and story.

- Why This map is basically a remake of what is one of the most interesting place (In my opinion). The prison from AMC's hit show The Walking dead. Almost everything in it was exactly like the show, with heaps of heavy detailing make that little bit more better. It was the first map I played when I bought COD WaW and after countless times playing it I still will go back for more. The features included amazed me so much proving that despite being a 8 year old game it can have the same features as the newer COD's. The Easter egg is captivating, the mini Easter Eggs are funny, and the two fully voice acted characters are astonishing. This map may be 2/3 years old but it brings a new experience every play-through. It may be out of the competition by maps such as Leviathan and Requiem but it will always have a place in my heart.

Why is it my Favorite: I had a lot of fun playing this much, the detail was incredible, the map maker clearly took a lot of time with these detail which really make the map stand out, the wide range of weapons in the game is just amazing. the maze was trippy as hell. an a 85K ending, also has buildable and a quest you can do... i had a lot of fun playing this map with friends

Why is this my favorite map you may ask?
When i first loaded this map it was like WoW, the amount of detail the look and feel of it also all the content.
Then after i had finished marveling at this masterpiece and dying a lot along the way i started to play for real, i would find so many things in it to keep me busy and on the move like the bosses, and the sound is so fitting for the map.
I could go on and on about this map, well i will a bit more i will never forget the first time i thought i had this map mastered then a got nailed by the gunsip, i did smile.
Let me finish by saying a get so much enjoyment from playing Project Viking i keep going back for more did i say it's FuN. :nyan:

It almost been 3-4 years since i started playing custom maps, but it's only been a year since I started mapping and modding. I've always been amazed by how mappers can come up with great ideas and always wanted to do something like that on my own, but I've never had the motivation to do so. After stumbling upon UGX forums, I saw the release topic of Comosea and I knew I found something that I can't see everyday. Played it like a month whenever I had the chance and I finally decided to join the community and make maps on my own. I want to thank Radi and UGX team again for their work on Comosea and wish you guys luck in your future projects.

Personally I think this is the only custom map that deserves 99% credit as an actual zombies map, both the features and map quality are close to standards of an actual WaW/BO1 map, sure there's some features (Mainly map-wise) that could be improved, But this is the only map that I've ever been able to play more than twice.
(Sure custom maps out there are great, this just bought the perfectQuality and Quantity I love)

Reason Being: Love the atmosphere, the purple snow, and has one of the craziest looking sky I had ever seen. ;D It had many custom/ported weapons that I liked, including the halo assualt rifle(which for some reason I couldn't get from box :poker:). I also liked player 3 custom player model with the "Baka" sign on his back. :P If you plan to play this map and happen to find the golden freddy, just leave him alone.

Reason: Its one of the few maps that plays perfectly on my laptop, and the map layout is perfect, i like my strategy of being able to get the t-gun and howl off the wall, its one map i dont get bored off and can always go back too, and the ugx mod on it is the cherry on top, and cant wait to see v1.1 on it.

Why is this my favorite map?
How can it not be? First off, the environment: This map is ONE OF A KIND! There are loads of great maps but not ONE of them puts you in an underwater station that plays out similarly to Moon from BO1. It's crazy, the map has everything Moon had: Excavator, PES, Bouncing Pads etc...
Second: Are you serious? The hacker?! There is a reason Moon was the best BO1 map, and it was because of that thing. It's hands down brilliant to put that in a custom map.
Lastly, the map is very well balanced, you would swear it's a Treyarch map! There's close quarters along with some nice training spots and all. That plus the really cool Easter Egg that will have you thinking for quite a while before you solve it.
Hands Down, best map I've ever played rivaled only by the Treyarch maps.

Reason: I have played that map more times than anyone except maybe MrSwagovich and I still have so much freakin' fun every time I play it. I feel like the map has a perfect balance between having a well designed layout and good high level of detail, having a fun objective and having greats weapons and other features that the UGX Mod V1.1 has to offer.

Basic WaW styled map with well trenches in the starting area that later goes out to a bigger area. You don't buy the perks from the machine, intead you find a bottle that you can buy it from. The ppsh is on the map so a plus there and you can dubbel PaP.

I mean, this map is just awesome. The first version of this map was already fun and awesome, but implementing the blops mod turned this map into a master piece. I personally loved the layout and the best part: the weapons the and special rounds. As a blosp1 fan I fell inlove with this perfect ports. Also the perk layout is great. The special round is a perfect mix of imagination and old enemies. I still play this map constantly, doing challenges, or just going rounds up.

BO1 was one of the first cods I ever got and my first experience with zombies.
This map is basically a sequel to moon which is amazing as moon was probably the best black ops 1 zombie map for me.
This map perfectly replicates the feel of moon and the only thing that could make it better would be moon quotes.
