Been playing almost non-stop for the last 3 days and still only have 20% of the story done. There is so much to do, but I always get dragged away by the damn care packages and I have a bad habit of killing hostages. I have yet to find the kanabo if it is in the game, but I have found my trusty fire axe so I've been having a blast with that. The only issue I have is the virals. They're absolutely mental and will come out of nowhere to screw you up. I appreciate the ducking and diving to add difficulty but when NONE of my strikes hit, I get a little pissed. A tip for noobs is, if you can get to the bridge, make some moltovs and climb the cars to get to the bridge checkpoint. Once there, climb the police van on the right and scale the bridge to the top. There is a checkpoint on the top left side and at the VERY top there is an extremely powerful purple mod that sets zombies on fire and electrocutes them, handsomely called "Surprise MF's!" This will help a lot and is worth the climb. Yes, you can jump from the top of the bridge and survive, BUT, on the other half of the bridge, there is a military checkpoint. You can jump on a rappel on the left side of the bridge and go all the way down. There are a ton of locks to pick, but, above all, an enormous amount of medkit supplies. If you get overwhelmed, jump off the bridge on the south side and, if you swim in a 30 degree angle, you'll find a village where you can store your plunders and help people. A very, very important thing to point out is that when you meet the radiation zombies, the tanks on their backs explode. On the bridge military side, about 5 of them are there. You can chain them into one big explosion, but be weary of where you are and where the virals are because 3-5 might show up once they hear you so stay on the military tent when you kill the radiation zombies. Since there are a lot of police vans here, this is also a great spot to farm for guns. I, personally, have never found a gun in one, but I've heard you can. Anyway, have fun and happy hunting :D

Do you REALLY need to be talking about purple in every post that you make?

Well he is a purple square worshiper man.
Anyways I'm waiting to upgrade my video card before I try Dying Light out. I have heard mixed reviews about the game, so I don't know what to expect.
