Title: TMG Shipment (nazi zombie ash)

I thought i might aswell make a W.I.P thread for my map now that its about half way done i think, but im not to sure, but anyway here is some information about the map!

The name :TMG Shipment

Basic outline of map storyline...?
A Russian Importer and Exporter company are secretly doing tests on animals and humans which are their employee's. Things got out of control and and the employees that weren't infected couldn't leave the facility so they tried to survive on one of the roof tops and tried to send a message but that message never got seen. Another exporter company was curious about the inactivity of the company and decided to call the authorities because there shipments weren't getting through with out this importer and when they found the state of the facility they had to send in a team to wipe out the infected and hope all goes to plan........

Features:
8 perks (Original WaW perks, Mulekick, Staminup, PHD Flopper and possibly Electric Cherry to replace Deadshot Daquiri)
Black ops style juggernog 4-5 hit
No dogs - Potential boss round!
Bo1 & Bo2 zombie models! (Russian Zombies)
Sickle will be replacing the Bowie Knife!
Kino style teleporter and pack-a-punch( thanks to ADDICTED and YaPh1l)
Black ops and Black ops 2 weapons.
Black ops models
Death Machine Powerup (thanks to YaPh1l for the script)
About 10 box locations
random start location for the mystery box like in black ops (thanks to YaPh1l)
Fire trap similar to black ops ascension fire trap( big thanks to YaPh1l)
Solo Quick Revive (Thanks to YaPh1l)
Ballistic Knife with full upgraded revive abilty (Thanks to YaPh1l)
Moving sea containers with various different things in each with the moving, player interactive crane!
And a big map area

Ive probably forgotten a thing or two but i will update it when i have actual updates to announce

It's an unused viewmodel of a chainsaw gun from Black Ops. Looks like he textured it himself.

yeah i just textured it to see what it would be like with an actual texture but if i really want it in my map i will get a proper texture done, and acctually uv map it

Update: Sickle will be replacing the Bowie knife  just need to figure out somethings in maya as why it wont bind correctly  >:( and i need to finish UV mapping the handle   :'( and some how I acctually figured out how to uv map lol other than that expect a preview video when its functioning properly  ;)

Will update with new pictures soon and ive updated the guns list with newest guns at the top, I've ported every single gun from the black ops mod tools except the model 1887 as the animations don't work properly  but I might re-rig it and animate it let me know if you would like to see the model 1887 in my map and also if you want to leave gun suggestions for guns you think I should port/implement in my map. And I will consider them if they are reasonably possible  ;)

hehehe :D kinda the reason i havent updated this thread in a while and because ive been busy helping other people, its nearly finished couldnt wait to completely finish it but the only parts i have left to do are: the section next to the dragon where the little arms animate in game, the magazine and the wierd scope bracket looking thing above where it says 31-79 JGb215 on the side of the gun. Dont flame about how its possible or impossible and that its too complicated i have thought it through and if i didnt think it was possible you wouldnt be looking at this or reading this right now so im hoping this will be in nazi_zombie_ash by the release of ash.

That model looks fucking epic... did you make it yourself? I look forward to seeing it in-game after you animate it and add some viewmodel effects :D

no way i made that model :please: i wouldve been at it for days :P but i ripped it from blops and uv mapped most of it in about a days time or something around that  ;D

UPDATE!
Finished UV mapping the barrel rack model from black ops, looks pretty sweet now that its finished
A bit of an update of one of the area's, one section of the laboratory will be more detailed when its finished.
And lastly I finished UV mapping the baby gun! i was a bit busy this week and was doing other things as well including the above images, now i have to rig this beast and then animate it :'(

did you animate those moving things on the side yourself?

Edit: you might wanna reduce how much you tilted the gun as it doesn't look like it would fire even close to the crosshair.

Yeah I did it my self and also About the tilting thing I realized that and need to edit it. I could nealry say these are alpha animations they are okay I guess but I need to redo them

How about if you go into the cocaine room the next round the zombies come out in police outfits and your character can't stop grinding his teeth. If you don't get to the PHd perk you end up homeless under a bridge drinking Schlitz, your children won't come visit you and...where am I going with this?

it would be funny to make some cocaine anims... one where the player rolls up a dollar bill and sniffs a line off a table, and another where he puts a dab on his finger and starts rubbing it in his mouth.. the result is a perk like Staminup or PHD Flopper lol.

hahah great idea, having the models in there to begin with is a bit extreme lol, but having the player consume it is  a totaly differnt story, it might be a bit much imo but still a great idea and cbf making decent anims for it  :P
but still would be pretty cool to do as maybe an easter egg or something  8)

I need to add notetracks to the animations for the reloading and rechambering sounds then i need to fix the bolt in the scavenger reload animation, because i used a controller that was not linked to the main gun controller it doesnt rotate correctly but i will fix it then they will be complete, enjoy!
thanks to Tom_Bmx for his animating tutorials and for his model exporter lime so that i have the black ops baby gun model instead of my ripped one :)
I dont take credit for the scavenger model only for the animations.

Big props for doing animations like that at all, since I don't have that skill, but this is my constructive and earnest criticism to you:

Your animations are very restrained and unnatural. The bolt pull for the Scavenger is almost robotic, and there is an unusual delay at the beginning of it which makes it appear slow and unnatural. There is also no movement whatsoever from the other hand or the gun itself to illustrate that force is actually being exerted. Work on making your animations more fluid. If possible, act things out in real life with props to see what it looks like. Otherwise try to find a youtube video of someone using a similar gun and performing a similar action, or as a last resort look at how other games have animated similar guns.

Also, good luck on actually getting the zombies to turn into babies. It's possible and I've done it before for other purposes, but it's going to be fun...

thanks for the feed back, ive worked on my animating skills a bit and they are better than they where before, its about finding the right time to keyframe this and that but i understand what you mean about the roboticness of the animations, i need to work on that a bit more, but atm ive done the best i can, so i might fix them a bit down the track depending on when toms xanim exporter is release which might be while but no one knows. thanks for the tips though, and how did you get those animations to work with a mini model, did you use the full size skeleton animation or did you make your own for the smaller bodied skeleton if that makes sense.

Animations are scale-independant. As long as the rig matches the animation in translation, rotation, and proportion the animation will play on it.  I resized the rig and bound it to a smaller model.

okay, you probably saw the little hazmat zombie in the video i had that with the full sized zombie animations and the body (mesh) got all stretched lol, so how did you scale the animation down, did you do it in maya and then re-export it as a new animation?

okay, you probably saw the little hazmat zombie in the video i had that with the full sized zombie animations and the body (mesh) got all stretched lol, so how did you scale the animation down, did you do it in maya and then re-export it as a new animation?
The anim exporter didn't exist when that video was made.

lol, i have had this map on hold for a while now, kind of re-layedout the map, but other than that i havent touched it in maybe a month or 2, all that would really be left to do is the mapping and fixing some errors here and there but i dont think it will be for a while. when i do i will update the topic  :)

Delighted to hear this map is still in production. I remember seeing it months ago and thought it looked really good. I checked out the Thread over on TMG after you pointed out the name change. Really like the Sickle model too. My favourite melee weapon from B01. :D

Any ETA on it?

My mod tools forbid me to play or even mod this map anymore, if anyone can somehow fix my mod tool errors then i will gladly try and finish the map but since i have reinstalled my mod tools 3 times now and i receive the same error when i try to compile paths on any map i really cant be fucked playing guessing games all day, if someone really wanted to they could take this map and try and finish it off themselves seeing as im not going to anytime soon  if you did want to take it up send me a message and we'll go from there
