STORY
The Armored Transport of the Christmas Presents service was a huge success around the world. Although, things in one city are not good. The transport was intercepted but the presents should still be here. Your squad was deployed to find them, and deliver them. But it won't be as simple as that.....

A guardian?  :o it looks perfectly ported! also some kind of slow down in the zombies would make it more accurate. The mapping looks very detailed, so looking forward to this one  ;D

Thanks! Also, I don't think that slowing down zombies would make it balanced as the player only gets points from it when the zombie is in its rays, so slowing down zombies would be used for farming points.
The mapping looks very detailed, so looking forward to this one  ;D

I mean detailed for a 6 hours map, i know you are going to make it look awesome  ;D

 Also for the guardian i just had the idea of some kind of melting animation when they die.  :gusta:

The guardian just messed with your head in BO2 MP, so it decapicates zombies and plays a wunderwaffe death anim on a zombie if its in it's field.
Also, worked a lil bit on the lightning and FXes to bring a CoD4 vibe and a unique atmosphere :3

Nice vision, reminds me of a vision i made couple months back for a neon map (http://screenshot.xfire.com/s/129846371-4.jpg), might use that on my map but remove the glow :)

Im happy with all of the above, but i prefer the BO1 MP5K myself over the BO2/COD4 MP5.

Devlog 10/12:
- Rewritten my BO1-style walking from scratch, now gun rotates and moves depending on which direction the player is walking and reduced the amplitude
- Fixed the M4 reload with BO2 hands
- Tweaked lightning and added more FX
- Scripted the helicopter flying away in the intro

I really like what you did with the vision file, however going along the lines of the hints given, I think you should make it a bit brighter. Even in the demo vid, it looked really dark and I could barely see the zombies. Other than that great work :D

On this map, I'll also be trying to enhance the aethestics of WaW.
So like I said earlier, I've rewritten my walking script from scratch, so it's even more similiar to the newer CoDs and I've decided to showcase it :D
The map you see in the vid is outdated, I've added a lot more to that part.

Also, the Ray Gun Mark II won't make it to the final as I'm following my doctrine that ALL the guns I've ported should be perfect ports. And I'm very close to hitting FX limit.
Also, I've replaced the CoD4 M14 with the BO1 variant as I couldn't get it fixed with my set of viewhands.

According to wikipedia, Death is the termination of all biological functions that sustain a living organism. The fact the zombies are moving and screaming means they have cells sistems working inside their bodies. So maybe the sensor scans certain functions that only self-sustaining entities have.   :please:

This makes sense I suppose, however would the trees in the pictures not also fall under 'self-sustaining entities', and if so why are they not also included in the scan?  :P

Because it can be calibrated to just scan major life signatures, i think  :P

I already took care of that. Just need to find out a way to check if the player's in spectator mode.

Every soldier has a special magnetic armor, that comunicates with every other soldier in the area, excluding them from the scanner and also showing their names when close.

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates, but I've been very busy.
Anyway enjoy.
Classes:
The player will have 6 classes to choose, all with their pros and cons.
Assault: Pressing 6 or DPAD_RIGHT will activate a Cloak for 10 seconds. When drained, battery takes 100 seconds to recharge. 1.1x speed.
Support: Pressing 6 or DPAD_RIGHT will bring out an ammo box, takes 5 rounds to recharge. No Wonder Weapon ammo. Normal speed.
Heavy: 4 hits without Jugg. 0.75x speed.
Explosives Expert: Gets 8 grenades and 4 C4's after every round. No damage from explosives.
Sniper: Accuracy boost. All shotguns are loaded with slug rounds. Pressing [{+actionslot 4}] will activate barrel raycasting that predicts where the bullet will hit for 60 seconds. When drained, battery takes 120 seconds to recharge.
Light: Pressing 6 or DPAD_RIGHT will activate a boost to where you are looking. 2 boosts before the battery drains. Takes 45 seconds to recharge.
Cloak ability:

I actually made a setup with 4 classes too for our xmas-map, but decided to take it out because it didn't really fit in with the other feature's so that's a good thing in this case.

I think the classes and the ability's so far are pretty awesome!
I have an idea for something that you could add: a different "spawn weapon" for each of the classes you made.
I don't mean that sniper gets a sniper and heavy gets a light machine gun, but I mean different pistols with the same damage as the other ones.
It would be great if you use this in your map :pffft:

I'm out of FX space, but I'll surely think of that after I get to work on the official release ;)

Map is almost done and is entering the testing phase!
Also, still haven't set up the playable area so took a go at nopowerup gungame...... took me 50 minutes to finish (not including multiple breaks taken)

Double checked that, they had the points fix that I sent to them, but they've probably mistaken the versions and took the one with that amount of points.

Well did you send the 'points fix' before or after the deadline? If after I think it's only fair they didn't apply it as that would open up a whole can of worms IMO...

Gunns PLEASE READ ME
 when playing maps look for moar features because you and meaty skipped the Guardians, you earn them aswell but you walked right through them and didnt even stop to see the indicator >:(

Wuts the point of wanting us to add awesome features if you wont even use them  :alone:
