Post by: P0rkRoyalz on October 26, 2012, 06:04:37 am
how can i get an image on my weapon that i have made in maya, ive got the following material attributes: surface shader and lambert and ive named the image the same name as the material and whatever else has to be the same name, i tried looking at another weapon model from blops to get an idea but it didnt help, does anyone have an idea of what i have to do? thanks in advanced

Materials in Asset Manager represent your phong/lambert shaders in Maya. Nothing you do in Maya will transfer in-game except the shader-to-mesh assignments. Lighting, reflections, etc are all discarded. You have to set up your materials in Asset Manager.

It means one of your surfaces has no material assigned to it. To find it, have a look around your model and watch for anything colored solid green. Solid green = no material on the surface. Of course, you have to have materials enabled in your viewpanel (the 6 key on your keyboard, I believe)
