Hello everyone, this is my first map and is a remake of Dome from MW3.

To launch the map type in:
 /map nazi_zombie_dome_snow

V1.1 Change log
-fixed knifing  sounds
-fixed jumping through barriers
-fixed getting stuck at barriers
-fixed ammo sharing between guns
-added more clipping to prevent getting stuck in some places
-fixed all sprint anims
-fixed all places where you get out of the map
-removed Vulture aid completely
-removed thundergun
-removed second door
-added some detail
-added ray gun and wunderwaffe
-balanced some weapons
-other minor fixes

Did you mean knife has no sounds? lol, I noticed that as well, if you meant knife :P Map size: 385 mt  :poker:
Map looks good, just cos of all the custom models and textures, somehow gives the feel of ConvictioNDRs maps have, oh well, maybe cos you have same ideas as he has in some cases :D Keep up the work

when i was playing, about 95% of guns have no sound and slow melee attack. The R870 has the wrong pump and reload sound. The PAP'ed version of the thundergun doesn't do what it's supposed to do, all it does is kills the zombie in the crosshairs, that's it. There's no difference of damage between the KSG and Mist Maker. The Vector K10 has MW2 sounds even though the K10 was from BOII. The B23R PAP'ed is too weak and is suposed to be the B34R (BEAR) not B43R (BAER). when you PAP, the default gun pops up as soon as you place your gun in the machine. The PAP texture on some guns doesn't cover it all (unless this was intentional). I noticed a lack of wall weapons in this map there's the B23R, Vector, M27 (HK416) and R870.
Overall this map is fun and interesting with all the features and the introduction of the newly ported DT 2.0 machine. But some of the weapons are in need of an overhaul and hope to see more from you mate

Well it would be nice to know apart from the first glitch that was found, if anything that you have come across is game breaking. I don't want to approve a map for fixing a couple glitches when I don't know if those were all that were found.

stay there until round 7 with 12.000 points :D

anyway, u can jump-crouch down through all barriers  ??? (nice big teddy at the spawn, lol)
my FPS drops down to 30 while playing  :o i guess its because the snow-FX..

overall i think its a nice map to play more often, but pretty easy, u have so much room to train the zombs :D

What do you mean 95% of the guns have no sounds? The guns DO have sounds for firing, reloading, footsteps, ect.
Everything else you posted is being nit picky.

There is a Buyable ending, you just haven't found the secret button to open a new area.

I had the correct kyp's for risers and were linked to a zone but for some reason then wouldn't spawn.  :'(

depending on the script placer u used and if u have the ugx mod tools fix will determine if risers will work

Gotta fix the kinfe, it is just way to slow. The barrier directly in front of Stamina Up in the small room, when I repaired it I got stuck at the barrier and can't get out unless you get downed. Overall enjoying map. Just needs a few tweaks.

Just tested with a new installation using the links provided on the wiki + the latest version of the script placer and risers are working.

Note to OP: The patch has a small issue due to it trying to reference the hacker device(UGX MOD). As soon as trem gets on the patch will be hotfixed to v1.0.5. I apologize for the inconvenience. If you need to do that in a hurry feel free to PM me and I'll give you the details to fixing it yourself(very simple).

Really nice map man, fun to play.

I only found a gamebreaking glitch because i found and bought vulture aid :D , and with this i could go to high rounds with no trouble.

That's not a glitch you used console commands to get out of the map and get vulture aid.

Gotta fix the kinfe, it is just way to slow. The barrier directly in front of Stamina Up in the small room, when I repaired it I got stuck at the barrier and can't get out unless you get downed. Overall enjoying map. Just needs a few tweaks.

there is a glitch in the second door window, before you get out side. i got stuck repairing the window and had to knife lunge out.

So Vulture Aid in the map just not in the playable area? Either way players still get hit when downed in co-op which is most likely related to V.A, so you need to fix that.

Some other bugs:

Like someone said you can get stuck on a few of the windows
Some of the sounds for guns are waay too loud or too quiet (and you're using 1st person sounds for 3rd person on some of them)
The Zeus Cannon doesn't seem to do anything? (Or at least it's way worse than the normal Thundergun)
One of the walls near power is able to be walked straight through from the inside
Bam's Electric Cherry is the most ridiculously OP perk ever, not really a 'bug' but makes the map way too easy IMO
Some PAP guns share the same ammo, which means using one makes the ammo in the other go down simultaneously (not sure how many do this, but the MP9 and Skorpion EVO do this for sure)
The mystery box here goes into the wall

Did you take out monkeys deliberately coz I didn't see them at all?

And I have no idea how you access the buyable ending at all, but all in all a good first map with some nice detail in places  ;)

Thank you for reporting these bugs, and yes I had to remove almost all waw weapons and sounds because I kept getting the 1600 sound error. Btw there's a hidden button somewhere on the map that accesses a new area. ;)

And as I've stated before I will have a fix out either today or tomorrow.

Also the first debris when entering the "dome building", you can walk a little through the wall left and right.

What do you mean 95% of the guns have no sounds? The guns DO have sounds for firing, reloading, footsteps, ect.
Everything else you posted is being nit picky.

I never gave that script out, so I have no idea who gave it to him.  (I double checked and its identical, he didnt even remove my Brutus checks.)

I found the thunder gun on CFGfactory and I removed it in the map because it was causing problems.

Just go to CFGFactory then download COD 4 after that click on COD 4 Models. The file BO Weapons 1.15, 1.10, 1.05 and BO Weapons all have the thundergun and your thundergun script.

I know that the jumping through barrier issue has been pointed out, but something i have noticed that is annoying is that some of the weapons are sharing ammo. The M27(Hk416) and ACR share ammo, the R870 MCS and the KSG share ammo, and the Vector and ASP share ammo. There may be more guns that share ammo. Please fix this.

I want to say that it is kinda easy because there are 2 very easy campspots (roof buyable ending and where mulekick/doubletap is (1 window as extra def)) and because electric cherry is very over powered. I think adding some risers would give it more a challenge.

Hey man, about the game, i founded some glitches that already other users let you know, Like jump to other room by a zombie spawn window, slow knife, Share ammo, dont let us use the upstairs (In front of jugg debris), etc.

And of course you'll be update the map, just one more thing... please, can you change that (**scof* ugly *scof) PAP Camo? Seriously, i dont know if im the only one who dont like it  :-\

well, i did a test on shotguns, and it doesn't work on the KSG or the remington, so i was only assuming that it doesn't work for shotty's, but maybe it works for other guns (I should've mentioned that in the earlier comment). and yes i understand that the real DT 2.0 isn't really possible in W@W.

The zombies will occasionally glitch up to you and hit you, but they usually stand around below you and swing at empty space until you kill them. Works great with Electric Cherry, which seems to amplify? I electrocuted zombies as far away as the door. Just thought I would let you know. If you stand at the window shown in the image (sorry it's so small) and repair it while you're up against it, you will become stuck until zombies break the barrier down again. It's a real great map, but how well was it tested?

I may not like the idea of remake maps, but this needs to be re-released at Christmas time with elf zombies and the dome turned into a giant snowglobe and plenty of Christmas trees. The box being textured like a present would be cool too.

I can't see the image (I need dropbox account or something), but I knew the map has some bugs, including the window stuck problem. whatever, if you don't want to loose your progress for this bug (If you're on round 10, 15, etc) just open the Console and type: noclip and then move to another place. to quit, type again noclip hope i can help you.

Its called the console and you have to go into settings to turn it back on because some maps turn it off to prevent cheating.

its outside of the building you start in, once you leave the garage go  right up a little sidewalk and there is a wall that can open

The knifing animations are still slow for me on most guns—including the starting pistol—wasn't this supposed to be fixed? Map looks great, its just some of the gameplay mechanics that are a little off. Also my OCD won't allow for Deadshot to be priced at 1000 points instead of the traditional 1500 points (but I am happy it is the real Deadshot, not a fan of lasers on most guns).

EDIT: It seems you also left some of your dev text to display on the map loadup.

I "fixed" the Deadshot and in PC version its 1000, cos its missing the aim to the head feature, which is in console version.
This price change is also in official Treyarch maps

demap is only for developers. ie the person creating the map, just regular map should of worked

None just launch themselves when you click them in the mod list. There might be a solo button once you've launched the mod but no direct entry. Some maps require you to enter a console command because the mapper hasn't implemented a solo button, either because he/she can't figure it out or just didn't bother.

Folder inside /mods is named nazi_zombie_dome_snow 1.1 It's a 382 Megabytes folder. Correct if you have it that way. If not then reinstall and redownload the file you may have some failed installation or corrupt download.

exactly as it is, I think you forgot to type map. Did you type in the beginning (map), then nazi_zombie_dome_snow. If yes then there's an issue with your game, if no then go try, I'm sure It'll work, there's no other way

Why people fixe zombies glitches? The Spots and jump throug barriers? because in World at War is impossible to you make a glitch, the Zombies teleport to you or hit instead of the distance you are, when you are in a high barrier, Zombies can make long hits, same if then are in the floor and you in a sky barrier.
But, Out of map glitches and errors need to be fixed.

I'm not implementing a solo button because I lost the original files when I re installed my mod tools.

Sorry to hear that.
Now, I can understand new forum members asking why the map is not working. Especially if it's their first post. They don't know what to do they gotta learn.
I'm not sure if forum lets you edit old posts but it would better if you edit your first post and add related information to help these newbies run your map properly.

Hey im new to custom zombies (sorry for being new)
But i downloaded it and got it installed perfect. I can launch the mod in the mod menu but idk how to play it solo
do you have to type something in the command? or is there another way?

 It sometimes does not work for cod5, BUT It always works with this game.

It will work on any COD game, but I recommend playing it on Advanced Warfare because then you can use exo suits and stuff  ;)

I just got world at war and sorry I'm still a noob...I have made a folder in the waw folder called mods and installed them map, however after install the map isn't in there and not in mods ingame. What am I doing wrong? It does have a shortcut on the desktop.

I've just tried this map today and I played it for about an hour, but I can already say that this map is a very fun map to play so far. It has plenty of perks, plenty of weapons from several COD games (MW2, Blops and MW3 I believe) and it even has a Kino-style teleporter.

Can't wait to play it again tonight, thanks for creating this sweet map :)

What doesnt work? If you mean it takes you back to the waw menu then it is suppose to, to launch it press ` usually found under the esc key and put

WaW doesn't read mods from the install directory but instead it reads them from the AppData directory of your Windows account (I'm speaking as a Windows 7 user). Your mod directory will be under:

C:\Users\<insert username here>\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDWaW\mods

You can either type that into the address bar in Windows Explorer or you can navigate to the folder yourself, although if you choose the latter you will have to make sure that the "Show hidden files and folders" setting is enabled since AppData is a hidden directory.

To enable this setting, open a Windows Explorer window (i.e. open My Computer), go to the light blue bar at the top of the window and click:

Organise -> Folder and search options.

Then open the View tab in the new window that appears and under "Hidden files and folders" in the list of settings, click the "Show hidden files and folders" setting and click OK.

All WaW mods and custom maps must be placed in the above directory or else the game will not be able to recognise them, so perhaps this could be why they haven't worked for you? Hope this helps :)

Go to game options, and enable the console. Then open up the console after launching the mod with ` found right below the ESC key, then type

For some reason I can't run the map properly, I type map nazi_zombie_dome_snow in console and try starting the map at the mods tab but it brings me right back to the slandered WaW menu.

Played the map for the first time today after having it for a little while. Pretty good remake but a few of the routes were a bit cramped which they were a little bit wider in the game and the stairs on the other side of the map im pretty sure was steeper and not so flat. Also noticed one wall in that tunnel was not fully into the other wall and you could see through the map.

The guns were a bit weird probably because of not the best port. The zombies tended to hit you several feet away from you. The sounds of the guns were a bit off and the knife animation was a bit slow maybe its because i dont have latest version i dont know but i thought i did have the latest version.

We couldnt find speed cola but we did find the roof access. Map is pretty good but not the most fun map and a little slow to build up. I would also recommend a few more wall weapons.

The realization of the map is quite good, my friends and I enjoyed playing it.
There's one thing which is bad, zombies are hitting you when you climb the
ladder up to the teleporter...pretty annoying.
Weapons'n stuff are choosen well, I liked them.
I missed some sort of trap which is always nice when
you run thro the complete map, but that's just me.

All together, its a well made job!

in theory, the file you downloaded was the "installer"

you need to "run" the installer, and it will put the map in the right place

Its really good map especially for your first map, but there is one problem. I can't play it with friends because I have to start it from console. If I open it normally (from mods) it just throws me back to waw main menu. Is it a glitch or just my computer? If its glitch can you please fix it and this would be one of epicest maps I ever played :)

Simply select the Cooperative button with the mod loaded. Then press Host Online. Then press Game Setup. Then Change the Game Mode to Nazi Zombies. Boom, Coop, this goes for all maps which seem to bring you back to the main menu.

custom content is also not alowed because microsoft and sony will not allowe it coz they will then be looseing money on other things such as DLC's and what not

when you travel to pap there is a 2k button on the trunk of one of the trees . as you face pap its to your left . this button opens door to roof

Love this map this is def in top 5 of mine fav custom maps . Ahh i hate you tunngle had an great game , all perks raygun mk 2 ,sweeper ,and an paped mg , died lost them had enough for jug and phd , did it all over again got the wunderwafle ,paped it got an raygun was going to pap it then game crashed lol . I blame tunngle for that .
My critisam on this map : I personaly fell that a lot of the weps are weak and cant carry you over 20 ( they can but they burn ammo so fast ) maybe add some more powerful weapons so we dont need to rely on raygun , striker etc . Can you put vulture back into in ? And what does PHD do on this map i know i dont take friendly damage but does it have that fall explosion effect ?

Jug container next to the ladder before the power , mainframe on that building u need to get to the other ladder where u can go up .

you cant "legally" mod MW3

Cod 4 - Full modding and mapping
Cod 5 - Full modding and mapping
Cod 7 (Black ops) - Gun and GSC modding to a extent, no mapping or map compiler or server support for maps

No other mod tools exist

That video is the map in world at war, its just a remake of dome from MW3. You need world at war to play it

Really good map, makes old Dome feel new again.  Love the custom PaP camo but I feel some more camos would be good as the blue one gets boring after a while dispite how nice it is. :)  Also the clip sizes are a bit too small and electric cherry seems a little OP so I got a lot of kills with electric cherry.  Try having a cool down period on E-Cherry instead of every time you reload, apart from those minors it's a very good map  ;D

Really good map, tried it with two of my friends just now and we got the buyable ending after 25 rounds :D
I love how the perks were placed around the map. I have a few things to point out though:
1. I don't know if it was my imagination but the knife animation seemed really slow. Don't know if that was intentionally made to this map specifically.
2. The pack a punched LSAT (don't remember the name of the upgraded version) has something that seems like a visual bug, which doesn't show a full magazine after a reload. Additionally, if you shoot after a reload you'll lose a bullet in the HUD (obviously) which is then instantly refilled. This goes on until you hit the actual amount of bullets displayed on the screen.
3. Last thing I want to say is that the pack a punched LSAT can be reloaded even though you have a full mag, which is kind of gimmicky with the electric cherry (not one of the best weapons to use for mobility, but I feel it should be mentioned).

All in all I love the recreation of Dome and will play it again :D

Those 2 is a limit in WAW itself, if your gun has more than, i think its 137, in a clip, it will cause those issues you mentioned

  • After installing the mod launch WaW normally
  • Click on Mods at the mainmenu screen
  • Under mods section selec and launch nazi_zombie_dome_snow 1.1
  • Click on tilde key on your keyboard to open console "~"
  • type this into console and hit enter
  [/list]

There is a small Electric Cherry exploit, it occurs when the user is holding a weapon with no ammo in the current mag, if the user keeps sprinting then stoping over and over again, it will keep spamming the wonderwaffe effect. This is mainly happening because of the fact that there is no delay on the "Cherry" reload effect in the ported version of the perk.

love the map, feel like there could be another wall weapon on the way to the box? maybe a submachine gun or a semi auto rifle, would make the map a bit better

I downloaded the map and when I open waw and click the mod it just loads a black screen and goes back to the menu. This is extremely annoying because I haven't got a chance to play it yet. Please help

Its in font size 32 one inch under the fricking download button...


half these people literally cannot tell the difference between a mod that "went out of its way to add a custom title screen" and a mod that "uses the default title screen"


but what makes it worse is these same people cant be bothered to donate even a whim of effort into finding the answer. I mean shit its written ABOVE that guys post, like THE NEXT ONE UP

To launch the map file

LOAD THE MOD

then open the CONSOLE

then type in:

 /map nazi_zombie_dome_snow


IT HAS A DEFAULT TITLE SCREEN THIS DOES NOT MEAN IT HASNT LOADED, IT MEANS JUST THAT, THE MAPPER DID NOT CHANGE THE TITLE SCREEN!
