start zone like No Mans Land from Moon zombie's map BO1 /script by bluntstuffy
nuketown 2025 map with three new playable areas but respecting the original map
perks arrive style similar to nuketown zombies map BO2 /gogeta
deathmachine powerup /script by gogeta, fixed by bluntstuffy
2 bosses zombies, Napalm Zombie from Shangrila map BO1 and Panzersoldat from Origins map BO2 /redspace200

Nice choice of map! :D

I loved the original Nuketown MP map and genuinely was super excited for the zombie version but it turned out to be a very poor map. Visually is was nice but I was really disappointed in the layout they went for and the fact the limited it to only 4 perks and deciding not to add a wonder weapon was beyond tragic.

The worst part of it though was that in pre-release interviews they were asked how they would adapt the map for zombies and they talked about including an underground area and opening the map up more but in the end they did not add any new areas and actually made the map playing area a lot smaller that the MP map.

I heard this was down to time constraints, and if so then I am even more disappointed because I only bought the Hardened Edition for this map and feel I was robbed blind.

That aside, I look forward to what you can do with the map. There was an awesome looking Nuketown map over on the ZM site a while back (not the poor 1940's version) that was near to completion but suddenly was abandoned. Shame as it looked like it could have been great fun. Hopefully your own version can prove to be a worthwhile attempt.

The very best of luck with it. I look forward to seeing more of it.

Do you have a link to that interview? I'm not calling you a liar or anything but I'm interested in what Treyarch stated.

you can do with the map. There was an awesome looking Nuketown map over on the ZM site a while back (not the poor 1940's version) that was near to completion but suddenly was abandoned. I totally agreed, great disappointing that map because they have too much easy to make a playable and replayable map and they decided to ruin nuketown.
Before bo2 they said a lot of things like zombies 8 players games, at start of bo2 with a bug it could play 8 players games but they patched this, bo2 zombies is too much features but not much funny maps to replay.

I will look for it and see if I can find it. I am not the only person here to have seen that same interview though, so I am sure someone else will be able to back me up on it's existence, but as I said I will look for it and if I find it I will post it here.

Some companies before a great game launch act like a politician in campaign, very to promise and when game is launched and they are cashed some of those promises it stay in that, in promises.

Is really hard to find out who of treyarch said the exact words, because all before launch have twitters and other accounts and they are going filtering the features, but the fact is that most of games create expectations that after breach.

For example last bo2 the first month of launch on ps3 at least was totally unplayable, constants downs, freeze console and apart of technical failures, they promised 8 players games on zombies and they after removed this and for try to solve this they made grief mode with little success.

You took the words out of my mouth, I also saw that interview and my hatred for Trashtown was because of exactly what you said, I bought the HE just for NZ and was looking forward to it based on what they said in the interview and when it turned out to be crap, I felt slightly robbed, and as the OP said, the map isn't fun for what he stated.

That aside, I'm looking forward to a decent Nuketown re-make, though I hear around here, someone else is also working on a Nuketown map, if not planning to do one, and he'll open the whole map up, have multiple houses open etc - if you want to compete, maybe you should do the same, I'd hate to just see MP Nuketown with a load of perks squeezed into it.

Is not my intention to do that, I am going to respect the size of map like in the original, the map is not totally open and I wiil  try to integrate the zombie items with the map and an option for make it for zombie style is to make it night map but trying to make a good lighting.
 I am noob and I know it but my idea is only three perks buyable quick revive for solo, jugg and speed cola, but these two last perks must falling from the sky like in bo2, one perk randomly in round 4-6 and the second round 8-10.
Really in custom maps until round 8 or 10 (except some extreme custom maps) is not necessary to buy jugg and if I can I want do this, random perks but only two like in moon and falling from the sky in random rounds like bo2
And wunderfizz for rest of perks.

Me neither, but you can see games in this mode in map bus depot, in die rise and in nuketown, is awesome and really fun.
If you want to see you can search relaxingend videos in 8 players games.

Listen, if you can beat cyber to it - i wouldn't be surprised. He's still working on his current project "Facility". I would defiantly open up ALL of Nuketown, which is what everybody wanted all along. if your putting in the panzer AND the napalm zombie, i wouldn't make plane boss zombies (A custom model with increased health) like Asylum v2 and Bridge... Infact, i would not include the panzer as it would not fit the map and a "mid-round" boss would already be included (napalm). Also, the napalm would fit the theme better. I would include a special boss round (Space monkeys, Pentagon Thief, Jumping jacks, ext) along with the napalm. I do hope this is as detailed as possible and everything works right. Nice job with what you got so far! One last thing - Why are you including stopping power? DT II has the same effect, and if the shader isnt bo2 themed (cause im assuming the perks will have bo2 shaders) it wont fit and would look off. Anyway, keep up the good work! ;)

trem has a bo2 stopping power shader for 1.1 and jbird has his vigor rush bottle (stopping power) maybe you can ask to borrow them?

i would strongly suggest to do more actual mapping before doing features. first make the mapwhere youre going t oadd the features. otherwise it will end up like nuketown 1945 with poor mapping

is good to know this, I have so much work only only in mapping that the perks question is far at this moment but I appreciate that you said me and I will talk with Trem and Jbird and I will ask them if they can help me with this.

I have spent zero time at this moment for make a nice map, I have spent 1 week on correct the exactly position and size of prefabs, or the most aproximated to nuketown 2025.
I am start to learning texture with alpha for specular maps and I want that all textures in my map will look nice, and add foliage and all prefabs according to this map I could get.
I know that is not easy to make that a map looks nice, at least for me at this moment but with time and dedication I will try to make something nice.
I know that to make map that I want it is months of work, but I assume it and I try to make

I didn't say anything about a machine because, im assuming your putting it in the Der Wunderfizz. If you need a machine though, i would ask jbird for his vigor rush machine as he has given it out before - just to get that problem out of the way if it comes up...

By default the forum does not save your sent PMs. Visit this page (http://ugx-mods.com/forum/index.php?action=pm;sa=settings) and tick the box for "Save a copy of each personal message in my sent items by default. "

I would also suggest changing the "Display messages" setting to "As conversation" with 'Show most recent personal messages at top." ticked. Much easier to follow PM conversations that way.

Probably you havent read entire the topic, and dont have read this

for this you probably says that this will be a remake of MP. When I want to do is respecting sizes of original map nuketown 2025 to make a custom zombie map.
And probably you havent read that mapping is 15 % and the only that I have made is to distribute prefabs exactly at the same way like nuketown 2025 and when this job would be done, next step is to integrate items of custom zombie map with good textures, foliage and all will be necessary. The pic dont treats to show a nice shot, the pic shows that I am respecting the size of the original map and above this to make the best custom zombie map that I could to make, with my ideas and special features of the map, and about all is my first map, but I dont want that this would be an excuse, the most autocratic in this map its me, I want some decent and I know that will wait me months of work but I accept this.

Because basically he downloaded some models from CFG factory, placed down about 5 of them in a similar position to that pic of Nuketown he posted (which would take all of 5 minutes  ;D) and then listed a load of features which he doesn't have (and has no way or knowledge of getting) and called it a WIP.  ::)  :please:

That is a bit pressumptious is it not? How do you know for a fact that he has no way or knowledge of getting them? There is plenty of people on the scene willing to help others out so I am sure he would eventually find someone who could provide assistance.

The map is about 2% complete. Cut the guy some slack until there is actually some real progression made. I get your response is probably in retaliation to him calling you out (for nothing), but no need to turn it into one of those threads.

I didn't intend for it to become a bashing contest until he needlessly decided to post some stupid crap on my thread. I simply stated that it's not the best idea to list features like that when you 0% of them done, and at this moment in time 0% chance of getting them. Would have been better to say 'this is what I would like to have in my map, and if anyone can help me with these I'd be grateful'.

And like he said on my thread, he only respects maps which are one sole person's work, so I'm assuming he doesn't want help and he's planning to do this all by himself, in which case I stand by my statement that he will not be able to implement any/all of his planned features.

Yeah, unfortunately I didn't see his post on your thread until after this one, and I have left a comment on it telling him to stop. I see how this started and can only see it heading one way unless stopped early.

The only way we will know if the features make it is to give him time. It's a bold move, but who knows.

I understand that this is your opinion, but I'm honestly starting to get sick and tired of people listing ALL of these features in custom maps that don't even need them...

I agree, dig sites for example is a feature too much used in custom maps and for me really this feature doesnt provide big deal.

To put two houses and make something in middle of these two houses and to say that it is nuketown is an easy work.
But nuketown if you want to respect all the sizes and put all items in their exact place is a very slow and hard work, and at this point I am in this moment.

The disposition of the map will be similar than nuketown 2025, in nk2025 you each house has 2 access (1 per side), 1 access garage and house access with the other house 8 access to move along the map, Nuketown zombies only has 2 access treyarch blocked 6 access with respect nuketown multiplayer maps.
I want to make the opposite to treyarch instead of to block 6 acces of 8 I will only block 2 access and with this I hope the map would be playable and funny but not too much easy.
At this moment I have some weapons of ghosts, mw3, mw2, bo1 and bo2, but not all the weapons that I want to have in this map, but is very soon at this point of the work and I will try with help that this map would have a nice weapon list.

is progressing very slowly but still moving.
In the map first I used a xmodel pack (25 or 30 xmodels), after I converted 80 xmodels and I added to map and the last I obtained a pack with more than 600 xmodels of nuketown and when I tried to add this, radiant said: GAME OVER.
Probably conflicts with .iwi files of three different conversions.
At this point I decided to redo an only .gdt with all the xmodels needed (about 300) to give the map a good look of nuketown 2025

I dont think that all houses will be playable areas but the most sure that in the map will be extra playable areas than nuketown 2025.

This looks really nice. I can't wait till it's released. I think you should make the Undeground Area where the Fallout Shelter is. That would be cool. I too was thinking of making a nuketown map.

Yes, the shelter is one of the three places where would fit the underground access.
Nobody was making a new zombie version of nuketown till I published in this forum that I was preparing one, now is like a "Make your Nuketown map Party" you must join  ;D World needs more Nuketown's Maps
Now seriously, nuketown is a great map and many people didnt enjoy much with the original Nuketown Zombie and if you think that you can and if you want to do your own version of Nuketown you have my support.

We have 3 or 4 versions of Nuketown coming out. This is just redundant.
To discuss other wip it's off topic here. To call redundant a work that was first than the other 3 or 4 is have little or no idea what you're saying, or maybe it is that you do not have clear meaning of redundant word.
Nobody forces you to see this wip or nobody forces you to play it.
If you're more comfortable in other WIP wasting your time here.
I do not mind your opinion about other wip that came after this. Do your own work or still reviewing the work of others but not say things here from your ignorance or other things outside and after the work. If you opine here try to have a little more respect to work and if you are not able to respect better dont do here.

And do not see many videos in youtube, it appears to affect your judgment and sometimes you say false things, senseless and do the ridiculous.

In one of the pictures I saw a bomb site from Search and destroy, what is it for?
I made the version of the map in demolition mode and the bombs are in the same place than in S & D. For now it's just an obstacle in a narrow corridor that makes narrows even more.

Now 7 weapons have silencer with their correct sound or most aproximated and changed muzzleflash for silencer fx. 8 weapons with "silencer" if we consider mc96 it has silencer  ;D Damiano I dont understand that hatred toward mc96 "silencer" for me is not silencer is only a muzzle break, a silencer it is quite bigger.
UGX mod 1.0.4 (I think) No. UGX 1.1 I am not sure when mod will be ready and I think I would have problems with the mod and almost one thousand of images of the map.
No estimated time, still too many things to fix and to add.
I know map needs something more, a sandstorm or another weather fx... maybe, but not sure.
At this moment after to add outside map there is a little lag in a place of the map, probably a weather fx running during all game it wont help a lot, but I am gonna try to fix the problem of lag (if I find the way)
No jugg because I am testing the map in god but now in the map there is jugg, if I can make the map like I want, jugg wont be in that area of the map.

A supressor is basically to minimize the flash and reduce noise, in a pistol the supressor it can be like the lenght of the barrel and sometimes bigger than barrel. Mauser C96 it has a termination of barrel (a muzzle break), is not possible that a "silencer" of that size cant supress some significant amount of noise or light.
These are facts, if we ignore all this and we think that is only a f*cked weapon of a videogame with some inspiration in a movie

In some spots of the map c4 sticks to terrain correctly but in another places crosses the xmodels and clip, and is not the only thing. With a grenade explosion c4 explodes too, but not with bullets and you cant pick.
Is not my script (Gogeta did it) I modified some things of the c4 but I dont have idea how to change these things.

I'm loving this map. If I could recommend one thing though, it'd be to implement new player models and hand models to fit the BOII setting. Overall though, I'm really hype for this.

I added the scavenger and something really weird it happened with the explosion  :rainbow: for some reason the explosion of scavenger pushed me outside map and then for some reason I fell to infinite .
This map was tested for 5 people and no one reported something like this  :D

This is my first custom map and I am a total noob on this of map making, but I will try to make the best possible.
I am not multiplayer lover but nuketown map in black ops 1 was a great map and really fun to play it, when I listened that treyarch went to launch nuketown zombies I expected the funny of multiplayer on that small map and zombies.
I expected a perfect mix and nuketown that is a small map with many options to move around the map in nuketown zombies blocked 4 access and made claustrophobic map with short options to escape and move.
Nuketown zombies is not a funny map for me, no wonder weapons, only 4 perks, the chance that you cant buy jugg till round 20 or 20  and unconfortable map to move around it.
My idea is dont make a map that you could train zombies in all places of the map but with the option that in some zones you will not feel the claustrophoby of nuketown zombies for this reason I will try to respect all the sizes and positions of prefabs like in nuketown 2025, I dont want block 4 access like treyarch but the map will not be so opened like multiplayer map because this is zombies and map will have the normal items than in zombies.









and here all features that this map will include:

quick revive, jugg, speed cola, double tap 2.0, mulekick, phd, stamin up, daiquiri

pack a punch

weapons will be a mix of MW2, MW3, BO1, BO2, Ghosts, AW and 1 waw weapon.

UPDATE: 16/06/15

Improvement of worldspawn settings, changed almost all textures and added all weapons except the wonder weapons.
Still many things to correct, add the outside of the map and an extra zone probably start and pack a punch area (if I find the way  :) ),

Me too I was expecting panzer :D but I dont have the xmodel, anims neither the script and I dont have enough knowledge to do this.
A friends and me are working on a boss zombie, it is soon to talk but if we get this I dont want only a boss zombie.

fix the sky and the sun, the models seem too bright for the map so make the map sunny to combat that and change the skybox to the nuke town one, if it looks weird just make a backup but I think that will fix the problem of why it looks odd

Now 37 weapons, 11 w/supressor.
Weapons with supressor in custom zombie map is a feature that I only watched in two custom maps and in these maps only one weapon was supressed. Probably if I would make a map non related with a mp map I would have included some weapons with supressor but specially in this map this feature is very important because remembers me the hundreds of games that I ve played in this mp map and is a feature that doesnt do worse the map, I think that this is a great tribute to the original map.
Feel free to make your own custom map and add 0 weapons with supressor  :D
Weapons list is not definitive, probably I remove one weapon with supressor because a problem with reload anim that I am not gonna fix because is not a great weapon but probably I d add another weapon... with supressor  ;)  :D

Weapons like Peacekeeper, MSMC and many others work better with supressor and you are invisible in mini map of the enemies when you are using it if they dont have UAV or VSAT.
In demolition mode (my favourite) LSAT wiht supressor is my religion, or AN94 or Peacekeeper... not in all modes supressor is the best choice in Nuketown, in demolition like I play (a little bit camper sometimes  ::)  :lol: ) supressor is an important part of the game  ;D

If this map would have triple pap, Diamond camo would be chosen for these weapons. I made an attempt some weeks ago for make Weaponized 115 camo but I wasnt safisfied with result, if I d dedicate half of attempts that I dedicated in dragon camo on to get this camo I m sure that I d get something approximate but I think that obtain same visual effect of that camo in WaW is not possible.

I dont want an incomplete map or a boring map, for make some steps I need help of some persons and these persons have their own maps or they are busy with their stuff. I d like to release ASAP but is not only so easy, this can be completed in one week, one month or 6 months I dont know.

And why CoD 4 deagle? CoD 4 guns are more outdated than waw guns in my eyes.

On topic, the map looks great, like how its based on the MP variant of nuketown and not all destroyed :)

If people are asking to help test the map then it would make my week if i could help test the map, it looks great, i saw a few of his youtube videos and he is actually really good at zombies (so we know the map is going to be made by someone who knows what they are doing). I fixed one weapon (type95)
I modified one upgrade upgraded weapon (rnma)

Hi, the one thing that this map lacks is the sign out the front of the orange house. cause the sign is from the on Nuketown map, but you need to make the sign from the version of Nuketown 2025

The original Nuketown 2025 has the new sign post in the center of the map and inside the orange house there is the old sign.

It is the scope of one weapon unknown for some people and infamous or not much loved for people that know it, Python with ACOG BO1 MP.
I like the model of Remington but I think the upgraded version is not much special, I tried to give a push adding this scope and  the sound, muzzleflash and damage of Boomhilda

SOME UPDATES AND POLL

- added 4 characters with specific viewhands and 4 start pistols random
- now only one wonder weapon is allowed per player, except the blundergat that is availabe for 2 players
- very improved lighting in the map

The spotlight still are of the regular night version and old worldspawn, for that reason can looks a little bit dark in the images, anyway, yes much better that previous.

please READ MY VERY VERY GOOD IDEA. Please make the map bigger than the original!!! I HAVE A GREAT IDEA! make it so that you can go out in to the surrounding neighboorhood. and in the buildings make the doors outside the original map more expensive..... AND make it so that its like a story where you have to make it to the underground vault in the dessert of the map by the time the nuketown nuke goes off to win the game... So you have to beat the game in time.... or by a date thats on the nuketown date board that changes per round like in the original. make it so that instead of counting upwards the boards counts backwards from 40 rounds or something and by the time it gets to the last day you have to make it in the vault by a couple minutes into the round while the zombies are spawning making it harder.. the vault should be in the desert of the map and have somekind of surroundings. like a sign, etc.. PLEASE DO THIS ITLL MAKE THE MAP EPIC EPIC

- Is this map ultimately day time, or will there be a choice to choose night and day?
I saw your night time version on the first page (that you had updated on Jan. 16) and to be honest, I love the night time more than I do the stormy day time look.

- Is there more to explore in this map, aside from the actual core of the map? Can we go further out of the normal boundaries; will there be bonus rooms and houses outside the original boundaries and stuff like that?

- Will the blocked paths (cabinets, debris, and whatnot) be replaced with better Nuketown 2025-like doors/debris?

- Are the players going to spawn in the middle of the core of Nuketown 2025, or will they spawn elsewhere?
I saw in your video that they were spawning in the backyard, but wasn't sure if that's temporary.

- Will the NUK3TOWN sign be replaced with the Nuketown sign shown in Nuketown 2025?

Suggestions:

-I changed worldspawn and vision file with a settings that fit more in day map. I made a poll for know preferences of people and probably I will release both versions, now I am working in day map, I played hundreds of games in night and now I am happy with day version but night version is more distinctive and original.
Day and night would have some diferences in world spawn and different light spots, so maybe someone can make an option in menu that can change day and night, but not in my case.
I know that a very good custom map had this option, but really I didnt feel much difference betwen day and night.
Probably I would release day version, then the night version.

-At this moment there are 3 extra areas that in MP are not accesible and another part of the map not related with nuketown, but not much far.
I dont want to invent some areas, try to fit with the rest of the map and name that map nuketown.
I respect too much the mapping of the original Nuketown 2025 for add something and continue calling nuketown, for me it would not be fair. I ve tried to make the map closest to nuketown 2025, within my limitations.
Of course I can do an underground level or I can make a zeppelin and I can call upper ground  :troll: but like I said it would not be fair that thing would have the name of nuketown.
Nuketown 2025 is too much brilliant and I believe that give three extra areas, always respecting the original map, is enough.

-Map now is pretty intense and finally I will not block paths, the only difference in paths is that in one garage the door will be half opened, so the players only can pass through prone.
But for lovers of claustrophobic and boring maps just dont clear all debris and practically you will have the blocked paths like in the original nuketown zombies.

- I cant talk about the spawn.

- The nuketown 2025 sign is present in the map in the place that originally would be the bo1 nuketown sign.
In nuketown 2025 there are both, I only changed the size and position.
I prefer the old sign in the core of the map.

-The player models are fine at the way they are. Thanks for the suggestion.

-Two originals ambient sounds of nuketown zombies added , and too originals sounds for perks arrive syle.

I appreciate all the words of support, but there are still details to polish and map elements for which I am receiving help and other items for which I will need too. So the uncertainty of not knowing if I can finish the map as I want, makes now can not be optimistic

I'm not sure you quite understand what the term 'port' means lol (based on this comment and your comments on Oil Rig about Terminal). By 'port' you mean remade from scratch and trying to replicate by eye as best as possible an original COD map using models, brushes and patches right?

Referring to it as 'port' is a habbit of mine, since that's what they're referred to as in the hacking/modding communities I contribute/participate in. I do understand what you're saying, and with the games that I work with, we also recreate materials and, in some cases, geometry. But they're noted as ports, because essentially they come along almost identical to its host. Every community is different, and I really don't mean to redefine what people say on this forum. It's just a figure of speech I've adapted because of being more involved in those communities.

The new area goes very well, the script is amazing and I am very lucky for can use it in this map, the genius that did this is BluntStuffy.
Now works fine but still needs some little tweaks to make it work as the original.

I am stuck in some stuff and I am trying to fix myself, so very slow progress.
It is not definitive, but I am testing Harry perks in my map, with his last update of the perks and t4m, finally work.
It is very nice d2p and all the perks with the jingle working properly in NUK370WN, but probably I should optimize the map and I unknow how to do it.
I simplified the zones and debris and I added something more (courtesy of Redspace200)  ;)

After a minute it sounds familiar to me, it is video that uploaded Relaxing some time ago when the map it was 50 or 55%
Youtube works this way, choose a flashy title and probably you ll get at least 10 times more visits than if the title would be more prudent.

I was dragging an important lighting problem practically from the beginning of the map.
Yesterday this problem was fixed, thanks specially to Huruman that is doing an amazing work in lighting of the map and thanks too to Makecents and RDV.
Map now has the lighting practically like MP map and looks better than ever, but it is a zombie map and Huruman will try the map would be more cloudy.

Basically I cant launch the game if I have installed t4m. Sometimes if I wait like 4 or 5 minutes I can launch but most of times game breaks.
If I remove t4m, the problem disappears but the other problem is that I was working during months with t4m and I exceeded the limit a long time ago and I cant play the mod.
I posted this a couple of weeks ago, it is the report of debug viewer and I think that can helps

Woah, that is kind of strange that the t4m makes something not work. I did recently go over limits myself while using t4m during dev, that the t4m was letting it work though. I had to remove a section of map, lower my images folder below 185mb, and I got to a point where if I added even one more model, it would crash.

Unfortunately, this is not something I have run into, I'm sorry. But I would imagine is not limit related... so even if you get under whatever limit you ran into, you may still have this problem then. Do you have any backups of when it was working to compare, script or map wise, to isolate the cause? Have you talked to dukip at all to see if he recognizes it? Have you tried making a new map and adding one thing at a time from this map until something breaks again? (such a pain, hopefully someone knows what your errors mean.)

Try turning down your graphics settjngs then launch the map because it could be t4m not liking certain limits and gitching out. Btw, looks like one of the awesome nuketown maps out there, probs the best ine yet  ;D

Great map man! I'm so excited for the release of the map for all zombie players. I've seen so much detail from the beta videos just on TheRelaxingEnds channel and that's enough to get me to play the map. I really hope that this map and all the features live up to the expectation that everyone wants for the release worldwide.

Total remade dragon camo and practically all weapons in upgraded version have red dot or similar.

Added zombie counter in nuketown sign and air strike reward related to collect some specific power up, thanks to Bluntstuffy.

Added ambient sound to No Mans Land, perk limit set to 4 and completing easter egg you receive all perks, thanks to Bluntstuffy.
