Title: [UGX Mod Poll] MAPPERS: How many images are in your map.csv?

Are you a mapper who is planning on UGX Mod v1.1 on your map? I need your help!

I'm trying to get an idea of how many "image assets" are in use on maps that people plan to use UGX Mod v1.1 with.

The engine has a limit of 2400 image assets and currently UGX Mod v1.1 uses 935 images (funny coincidence) which leaves about 990 more for people's maps. The remaining images are taken up by stock fastfiles for the game like patch.ff, common.ff, and code_post_gfx.ff.

So if you are a mapper please answer the poll at the top of this topic. It would really help me out!

How do I know how many "image assets" I'm using?

Easy, follow these steps:
1) Download UGX Asset Creator (http://ugx-mods.com/forum/index.php?topic=2756) and open it.
2) Go to File->Open and navigate to waw_root/zone_source/english/assetlist/ and open mapname.csv (replace mapname with your map's name obviously).
3) Once the file loads, look at the bottom textbox of the program where it says "Summary of assets:". Right below that is your image count. Take that number and vote in the poll for the number you found.

If you have a bunch of COD4/BO1/BO2/MW3 etc guns in your MAP's FASTFILE, PLEASE DO NOT VOTE IN THIS POLL. That will skew the images count a LOT and is not valid for a UGX Mod-ready map.

I actually exceeded the limit of 2400 image assets today when loading my map which freezed my map when loading, lol. xD
And I have no gun that I have myself added in my map.

So I removed some so I guess I am around 2480/2490.

Not sure what you're getting at - are you asking why you're hitting the limit? Because you have to count more than just your map file to get to the 2400 limit. Count common.csv, patch.csv, code_post_gfx.csv, your mod.csv, and your mapname/patch/load.csv.

And unless you remove your Black Ops mod from your map's fastfiles the number doesn't help me :D

Scratch that. Wrong asset list. Original poll of 600-700 is correct.

You should be able to change your response now, I enabled vote changing.

You could have just used the program but regardless I see weapon textures in there as well which invalidates the total number. I only care about people's map image count since ugx mod takes care of weapons.

Yeah, I know.
My other map takes up 394 images (gun images are in a separate fastfile).

Fuel's number is dangerously close to the current limit imposed by UGX Mod v1.1 - as long as you continue to use the same textures and models that are already in use, the number will not increase. Hopefully I can get more space out of UGX Mod v1.1 before it's first standalone release.
