Celtic Ruins by Fracture Studios
 
   Being the first zombie map produced by Fracture Studios, We wanted to make something different... We wanted a map that has a certain "uneasiness" about it that makes you feel uncomfortable. Taking place after a German Zeppelin crashed during take off, the nuclear warhead on board detonated and completely obliterated the city of Lübeck. You and possibly a group of comrades are sent in to the city to look for any survivors. Going into the city with a car, you soon find out that auto mobiles will not be the most suitable form of transportation in this destroyed city, so you decide to walk on foot. Discovering the survivors have turned into these.. things.

November 1st, 1941; Beginning of the “Mechanical Advancement”
Northern Germany - Lubeck

“Mistakes are our greatest invention, but also our greatest downfall…”
-Dr.Westbrook Head Investigation Scientist of Group 935, 1936

WWII has begun, and groups of all sorts are preparing for a “World-Wide” war. Development in discovery and weaponry has spread like wildfire, mainly in germany at the time. A secret german organization known as “Group 935” has uncovered information beyond expectations. The power source uncovered by the germans is element 115, well contained, well observed, well weaponized at least for now...

The germans main concern was dominance, in any way possible. Transportation for instance. The Zeppelin prototype mk5 was a german blimp deployed as an aerial gunship during WWI. At around 1918, the blimp was shot down on its tow of defeat back to Germany. Only some recorded information and blueprints remain obtainable, and Germany wanted to re-deploy it in a more “updated” way using their newfound power source 115. 115 contains mass amounts of power that can be manipulated in almost any way. Along with other upgrades to newer weaponry, the Zeppelin Model MK15 was its 1st success as an updated version of its origin in 1942.

April 10th, 1942; A few months after the events of Pearl Harbor.

115’s capabilities are being used to mass distribute weapons for Germany’s dominance now that America has joined the battle. And the “Project Zeppelin” is now being rushed into play. The newer version of the blimp has been vaguely tested and needs more time. The Nazi military needed it ASAP. New features have been added to the MK15, including a 115 powered engine being able to run for 3 months without having to be refueled, more storage space making it able to be used as transport, and upgraded weapons. During the time of this development that Group 935 has done, the Nazi Party has been working on a nuclear warhead that was said to destroy 100 sq miles of land using 115. Its location was to be armed in the United States, but needed transport worthy of such a weapon.

May 1st, 1942; Current location: Northern Germany, Lubeck

The Zeppelins 115 engine wasn't too stable, but due to time it was acknowledged as a non-noticeable error. The warhead was ready to be escorted to the US. Its location was to be armed near New York and Pennsylvania. Word on the street was it was going to blow up a secret overrun facility that was abandoned by Group 689 (Another association used to develop research for 115) as a coverup. Many common soldiers wondered what it was overrun by. Some thought it was Americans, others thought it was Russians, but in the end - it was neither. A side-effect can arise from 115’s power, being able to reanimate dead cells and soon entire corpses making them uncontrollable creatures or in this case “un-dead”. This effect was hidden from the Nazi Party so budget would not be cut to Group 935 as budget is already running low due to less advancement to 115. The blimp was planned to be “operational” in 4 days.

May 5th, 1942; The Zeppelins takeoff is about to take place at one of 935’s research facilities in Lubeck
The warhead that was loaded on the MK15 was as protected as possible, being put behind bullet-proof plexiglass and guarded by its escort soldiers of 70 nazis. About 300 german soldiers were at the launch of the blimp. Hosting the departure was Dr.Westbrook, Head Investigation Scientist and leader of “Project Zeppelin”

May 5th, 1942; (12:25 a.m. US standard time)
Dr.Westbrook (Group 935)

In about 5 minutes I will be mounted on the main podium. My speech is just about in-line and i'm not as nervous as I was during the last few days. I still object to the Fuhrer classifying the engine mishap as “an unnoticeable error”. I understand that the nuke needs proper transportation, but the Gunship is just not ready. There is a 75% chance of some sort of failure, which is more than likely to endanger the protection of the warhead. I tried to tell them this but they would simply ignore my warning. In this case, if the damage doesn’t kill me - my officers will. But, I should look on the bright side of our protection! Im sure it will be fine, 5 inches of standard plexiglass is covering a nuke - nothing can break through that! All the officers are straight up blödmann…

 After the speech, the blimp was ready to take off. Crane cables lifted the Gunship as it started to levitate. As planned, the cables departed from the Zeppelin leaving it able to be controlled by the pilot. But, one cable was stuck to its loop on the blimp, it was cut off due to force and a spark emerged traveling down the scaffolding of the blimp stopping the propellers from spinning for 2 seconds. The engine could not handle the small malfunction and went blank. Soon the 115 overcame the engines control and broke free. The medium blast radius inside the blimp injured 4 nazis who required help. the plexiglass shattered due to the energy, and soon violently reacted with the warhead. People on the outside noticed the malfunction and began to panic and flee, but it was too late. The nuke went off not only destroying the whole city within 12 seconds, but exposed mass amounts of 115 throughout the area. The Fuhrer was almost immediately contacted and sent 600 foot soldiers and 100 vehicles to secure the location, now obliterated…

May 15th, 1942; A little over a week of “minor containment”

Germany managed to close off the surroundings of the blast with outposts and blockades. 90% of the inside has not been touched ever since, giving time for 115 to spread all over the city - infecting the remains of “people”. Spies of all kinds have uncovered this information as well as more information on 115 itself...

May 22nd, 1942; Current location: Under the blast zone of Northern Lubeck…

Not many civilians survived the repercussions of the nuke’s failure. The ones that did escaped to a known bomb shelter in the northeastern part of Lubeck. Small portions of nazis, scientists, and civilians quarantined in the location. The shelter was owned by the Fuhrer, but partially given to group 935. Before the nuke went off, tests took place underground. During the time of the experiments, 935 developed a failed attempt to create a “over-average” type of specimen. Its mental state was poorly acknowledged - leaving it to go berserk during tests. It soon had to be contained since it was too strong to put down. Its main features leave it mutated and infected with toxin and 115. The subjects main purpose was to be used as front-line defense on the battlefield. Another type of weapon was also developed - a gas converted chemical of 115 to be used in chemical warfare. The scientific name for the chemical converted 115 is Uventoxiclorfen (Uvin-toxi-clorfan) or “Lethal Toxic Chemical”. Just as 115 was contained in the labs, it was sealed in special canisters - “Proxified Air Canisters”. During weeks worth of reconstruction, all attention from Group 935 was focused on hiding signs of an “outbreak”. In inner-uninspected depths of the city, walking corpses have been cited by patrol feasting on dead organisms. None have been seen up-close, but can still be identified. 935 officers inform the people to only take aggressive defense when needed, otherwise STAY AWAY!

May 30th, 1942; 8 days after underground inhabitants in the shelter.

The main blockades of the city have been completely contaminated, and 935’s main concerns for this have been ignored by the Nazi Party due to battle with the Soviet Union. Many german soldiers have been overran by the infected. Soon, the underground facility was breached - and consumed by the undead. Huge amounts of 115 and Uventoxiclorfen was released. Also during the underground survivor’s final stand, containment of the mutant was released. Now being able to lurk the bunkers un-imprisoned. In case of emergency - if Uventoxiclorfen has been exposed, scientists and soldiers are required to wear C.B.M’s or “Compressed Breaching Masks”. The masks can withstand the harmful chemical if well protected. After about a day, the main facility was overrun, as well as most of the on-surface outposts and buildings in the city. Allies of the Soviet Union are now well into their investigation in Lubeck...

Having much of it taking place underground in a massive subway system, we made sure that there was no shortage of being above ground. We try to make our map have very intricate terrain and dynamic settings, and so far it has turned out great. We feel this map will go far and many will enjoy. Not much to go on as far as images but from what I see there it looks like some excellent mapping. I'll be looking forward to seeing progress in the future.

That first pic isn't needed. But you finally have one picture. Other than some stretched textures, it looks nice. And those features you are talking about, better not be 3arc ripoffs like most maps these days... Disappointing.

This is the second 'group' made map to be added to the WIP here in a matter of weeks after Arrival. It is definitely an extremely exciting time for the custom community.

I will follow this closely. Great work so far.
    We have indeed ported models from Black Ops 2 over to the map, from Tranzit, Mob of the Dead and Origins. We do have all of the guns from Black ops 2, however we only plan on using some because we are still trying to go for the 1940's look. Along with that we have Vulture Aid, Electric Cherry and Wunder Fizz, however we are afraid some perks may have to be left out for file size reasons and errors while compiling. We cant wait to release the map to the public, but until then check back for updates on the map. Thanks for all the support and the compliment.

I agree with that statement, I also love to see mappers team up and make these awesome maps. It makes for fast production and better mapping, especially when you have a great mapper but not so great at scripting. Well you get the point. Anyways I look forward to playing this. Thank you for giving us this info about the map that you guys are making. I may have to go and check your youtube channel out :)

The Sten is just a slightly different model than the Type 100. They even use some of the same animations.

Looks good, will keep an eye on this, for the votes, good mapping and a wide range of features, would hate to see this map have a stock setup, and for BO2 weapons, providng you have least the Mark 2, I'm sold

We may add some custom weapons in the future, however no one in fracture studios at the moment is a good enough modeler or scripter to make the weapons. We plan on adding more people to the team to help us make this map the best it can be. If you or anyone you know is a good modeler or scripter, please contact us via email or right here on UGX mods. its not you that people are worried about. Recently alot of good detailed maps are being canceled, mostly due to the mod tools beeing crappy

Trust us. There is no way in hell that we will cancel this map. You may not be able to tell in the pictures but the map is gigantic. About 4 months have gone into the making of this map, so dont be expecting any of us at Fracture Studios to cancel the project.

We are proud to announce a new member has joined Fracture Studios and he is now our main scripter and is really helping out with the production of our map. With him we have solved errors in the past 24 hours and have reduced the file size of the map by gigabytes (Yes gigabytes). New Member:

We are proud to announce a new member has joined Fractal Studios and he is now our main scripter and is really helping out with the production of our map. With him we have solved errors in the past 24 hours and have reduced the file size of the map by gigabytes (Yes gigabytes). Thanks to him we can now add in many more features that will had more and more to the map as a whole. If your map was gigabytes huge, I think you may have a large misunderstanding of what this engine can actually handle and how to compress images, lol. No map larger than 350mb is accepted on the Map Manager and most people in this community would never download a map larger than 500mb just out of principle. since that is a ridiculous size.

Im helping them understand it more (such as DDSs dont go in mod folders haha). Ill be cooping testing the Add-on with them more, and will hopefully continue the solidify the functionality of my recent add-ons

At a point the map was 6 gigs. We have drastically lowered it to around 0.7 gigs but by release we will have it at a acceptable size. Considering the fact that over 2 gigs have been cut out of the map in about 24 hours it wont be too tough to make it lower ;). I wouldn't worry about the size right now since the map is just about half done.

We just compressed the map into an installer and its now at around 500 MB, and that is just above the acceptable amount so we are making progress!
(Fun fact the COD WAW game is actually 8.125 gigs)

The reason why our map was gigantic was because there actually was 5000 images in our image folder. Also we ported just about everything from Black Ops 2 and lastly the map is gigantic and highly detailed. I was just as surprised to hear from the mapper that it was over 6 gigs and these are the reasons why. To solve, we have managed to mainly get rid of some huge textures/images that we were not using and got rid of some usless files to drastically reduce file size. I hope this makes more sense now.

That was my thoughts exactly. I don't want to make assumptions here, but the mapper(s) may have bitten off more than they can chew. I am really starting to wonder how this will be able to transfer over, especially if there is more to be added!?

This is why we were having an error for about 2 weeks. We were over the model limit. This really should not be something to focus on. Most Black ops 2 images have been removed, we only needed some textures such as the lava and some mob of the dead models. I would rather you not comment on the gigantic map size and rather comment on what we could add to make the map better or things we should improve on. Thanks!

Sorry, but that is not something that can be avoided. The size of the map would obviously bring focus. No other map has ever breached the 1 gigabyte mark before, with JBirds maybe being the closest with 600+mb I believe.

Something coming in at 6 gig is going to get discussed whether it is wanted or not. The size is ridiculous!! Still, I am sure the map is still the main focal point.

I will start now, might be done next week (gotta think about the location you gave us and all that stuff) a detailed map deserves a detailed story-line! As for characters, i could come up with some ideas but if you already have certain ones planned (i would need some info) i could add back-story and personality. if you want, i could also do some research on guns from the time period and come up with a rough gun-list. As you said, once i have it typed and finalized ill email it to you. Btw, im loving the bo2 models your adding! (motd corpse bag, origins "corpse on a stake", other textures and what not...)  ::) ;D

Also a full back-story will be released sometime this memorial weekend. Also some new Weapons will be announced that have been custom made, animated and scripted. I'd welcome a map with all WWs but it would need to fit the story and not have them in there cause some noob asked for them all to be there, i'd be interested in seeing a 115 factory where everything was made with 115, so potentially with a story element like that all perks/WWs can appear bit like Jei's perk factory map but even better

Yes some will have to model and animate. They may not look professional but its better than porting weapons.

Indeed they will all be custom modeled and animated. We will show a video of a weapon we have been working on that is a wonder weapon soon.

Yes some will have to model and animate. They may not look professional but its better than porting weapons.

Like i said dont worry, we are really striving for this map to be as professional as possible. We will not tolerate any flaws in any custom animations of models. We do have a animator and a modeler but if anyone else seems interested contact us and we will be sure to find you a spot in our team!

That should remove the HUD and crosshairs from your screens. Also not sure but it might be a 1 instead of a 0 whatever is not the default #. Keep up the good work tho.  ;D

Whoh ok, let me take that in for a second! FS has informed me that they will not be including origins generators, nor will there be EVERY PERK from zombies. I understand your enthusiasm, but this map will be more professional than a clusterf*ck of BO2/BO1 features. I will assure you the map will live up to its build-up as the map will have many fun gameplay mechanics and custom features including their two new perks and many custom weapons from the WWII era! As well as detail and a "scary" feeling simalar to MOTD/Origins. I will say it will feel like an official zombies map and possibly better! ;)

ok good, the Sten is probably added along with the Lewis. Whats next? My vote - MP-3008 or the Browning HP (which btw, the Browning would make a great German starting pistol) We need some other weapons other than British manufactured guns. If you dont want to do a custom Browning HP, i would suggest ripping the one from BO2 campaign. As for the MP-3008, welp that has to be custom...

I dont know, how much stuff they can put into this, considering its WaW engine, thats old as hell.

Oh dont worry! Their will be many features and EE's, as well as custom weapons and an assortment of perks, and a WHOLE lot of detail. Currently, we are working on ambient sounds and an interesting boss zombie and map objectives (also the map itself). We promise this map will be worth the wait! Are editor/director Henry, is working on a trailer for Celtic. And are mapper Jammy, is doing a wonderful job mapping out fun areas and a TON of detail. We do currently have a scripter, but I don't think I should announce who he is yet until he has done something for the map. But don't worry, he plans on doing some very nice things (we need a lot done...). The map is always being worked on in some way, and will most likely not be abandoned unless something CRITICAL happens. More on the way soon ;)!

UPDATE #1 for Celtic Ruins Dev. Log

From now on I will be the one handling the "New Post Updates" on current, and future Fracture Studios projects until further notice. Hopefully, a new update will be out every week on the WIP until release... This could contain small and major advancements, as well as upcoming information on Celtic Ruins (and other new maps). Enjoy the make up for all the times we did not post anything for Celtic to keep it "Up-to-date". ;)

Additions and progress;

-Mapping has been greatly advanced ever since the last picture posts, many underground portions and on-surface buildings will be accessible

-A brand new weapons set is included for Celtic, Blops 1 & 2 weapons are being added with correct sounds, anims, and textures - thanks to our gun porter Luke & co.

-Custom wall chalk for wall-weapons have been added for a more fresh look

-New hazards are being added with a compact C.B.M system to counter noxious chemicals on the surface of Lubeck

-A new trap is being implemented from Dead Ops Arcade thanks to our scripter Emil

-A custom round changing que and game over song has been created. Game over song - "Return" by myself & Jamie

-Downer's Duplex has been removed from Celtic to be featured in future projects ( replaced with most likely Vulture Aid Elixir )

Sorry for not updating in a while, new Dev. log next week! :)

It is very disappointing to see that they are porting bo1/2 weapons unless they are necessary for certain assets e.g. sounds, animations,  easter egg, etc  other wise there should be WWII weapons like they have mentioned in the thread!

A lot of these maps that have modern ported guns are because having most ww2 era weapons in a modern map simply doesn't fit...plus who's to say that zombies are relegated to the hitler era.

Now now people, the most futuristic guns in are map only go up to the 1960's (BO1) era (Galil, commando, ak74u, ext) - the only BO2 weapons in celtic are the old ones (stg, mp40, tommy, ext). There are no futuristic weapons in our map unless you want to count the ray gun and ray gun mk2! ;)

You are completely wrong about me just using bo1 pp it was the waw pp with customized textures more detailed rear sight, the front sight has got some re position verts to fit rear sight and the gun was scaled to fit anims and it uses scorpion evo sounds as chroma through the bo1 sounds is too weak and just for realism i got bullet models into the mag for when you reload.
Oh and i mentioned this to chroma and fracture this pp is barley finished i might even revamp or custom model my own ppsh and change weapon file for more bo2 feel etc so lets say the ppsh now is just a placeholder

Yes, we plan on having a custom WW that is already about 75% done. As well as the Ray Gun Mk II, and Ray Gun 1.5 (Origins/Buried Ray Gun model). ;)

UPDATE #2 for Celtic Ruins Dev. Log

Some well-made progress has been made over the last week. But at the same time we've ran into some issues, nothing major!

-The map is finally starting to be closed off on surface and underground (Now we can start to focus on other important tasks)

-Major Easter Egg is still in development when it comes to ideas/steps - will be BO2 themed with puzzles and objectives

-Our M1927 is FINALLY fully working with sounds, anims, and textures (On a side note, the Browning HP has been implemented)

-Thanks to our scripter Emil (Ege115), we are making our perks as authentic as possible. We are not using any of Bamskater's perks, as we have decided to make our own (featuring correct effects (FULLY working), correct bottles,  correct perk machine lighting, correct shaders, 3d jingle sounds, and working jingles (when bought and when walking nearby)

-Tombstone soda is planned to be implemented

-Custom ambient sounds are being added which plan to be put together as a soundtrack with game over song, and custom round changing music

-Our custom PaP camo is being applied to upgraded weapons (upgraded weapons will feature correct attachments and new PaP names (Serious ones - no NGT and or offending PaP names)

-Our own D2P system is in develpment, as well as correct duel wielding (this includes fully working PHD, and possibly a Mustang & Sally)

So thats it for this week, more to come soon! :D ;)

This map looks freaking epic. Just by the pictures it looks like a huge map. Compared to BO or BO2 maps, is this map as big, or bigger, than any of them?
Little idea. If you do have a boss zombie have some sort of health meter for it. Always great to know when the boss is almost dead.
One other thing. Think it would be possible to put the fling trap in this map from COTD? Loved that trap, also made easy transport too.
Very excited for this map. Know it will be a while before it is released, hopefully not to long though, but I am stoked for it.

The map is very big, it has 3 main levels - tunnels, subway, and surface. The size may be bigger than most BO2 maps. We do not plan on adding the fling contraption form COTD, but we do plan on adding the ziplines from COTD - so there will be thorough transportation. As for the boss, we may take this idea into consideration as the boss does play a big part to the main EE. ;)

As shown in the link you posted, HeX Reapers actually suggested a Kowloon zombie remake as an idea for a custom zombie map (which I thought was written out pretty well), but I honestly never expected Fracture Studios to be the ones remaking it...

Can't wait to see how their version looks like ;)

The thing about Celtic ruins is that it is not a remake or clone of any previous zombie or mp map. It has been improvised from the first brush made in the map. So when people make remakes of maps they usually will know that they are a "X" percentage done with the map based on what they have done and what the (official) final product looks like. If we could go into the future and see what Celtic looks like when its competently done we could give you a solid percentage and a possible date of completion. However because that is not the case with this map we have no set date of completion. However judging and taking into consideration everything that has gone into our map, it is safe to say that it will most likely be released before 2015. I dont want to give a set date because shit can happen and we would feel bad letting down all of the people very excited to play this map. Sorry for no set date but none the less this map will be released in the end. Thanks

a zipline will be hard to break since it works the same way as the shi no numba one but instead of the box, theres nothing. also itll be completely controlled by nodes

It is not the final product, each texture for each paped weapon will be aligned and neat (are camo also glows and scrolls like ZK's cheese pap camo). Ill see if we can post another better looking pap version - but our co-gun porter/texture manager Tombone is on vacation atm. The new dev log should be out soon (Ik ik I forgot...) :) ;)

We are, there are only BO1/BO2 weapons in Celtic - guns like the MP40, STG44, Tommy, and PPSH-41 are all updated to their BO2 variants. We are also including guns from BO1 like the commando and mp5k, even the BO1 weapons are updated to BO2 variants like the galil, ak74u, AK-47, colt, ext. As well as some wild cards that are from BO2 and 1 (old not futuristic) and custom! ;)

Yes, the AK-47's textures are fixed (unlike a lot of others in most maps), the AK-74u will have its BO2 ADS anim, and the Galil will have the BO2 reload anim and the carry lever will be removed (all sounds are updated as well for each weapon). And if your referring to my personal Youtube channel, I have sadly not uploaded anything yet so it is classified as "non-existent". Im trying my hardest to convince Jamie to produce content on Fracture Studio's channel, but until then - there are no videos... ::)

Hopefully, in order to do a trailer - we need to finish mapping! Our mapper Jamie works on the map just about everyday, and it is detailed as hell (also huge)! We plan on releasing a series of trailers along the way (2-3) (cinematic, teaser, and release trailers). Patience is virtue, and we plan on having our channel active soon! ;)

Nope, most to all of our textures are from BO2 and some are from W@W. Its as legit as it gets :D!

UPDATE #3 for Celtic Ruins Dev. Log

Been a very long time since the last update, so im finally getting around to it again! Nothing HUGE but some pretty interesting stuff! :D ;)

-EE steps are finally in development, and this one is a tuffy lads

-Radiation Rum has been scrapped do to confusion and uselessness (replaced with a new perk you will get to see soon!)

-More progress on mapping has been done

-G-11 and HK-21 have been removed and replaced with the MG-08 and MAYBE duel wield Browning HPs...

-Lewis Gun is now animated thanks to Elfenliedtopfan5

-Character overhaul is being done to the 4 heros (updated quotes, BO1 viewhands, BO2 knifing grunts and damage grunts, and BO1 models) Also meaning since this takes place after moon, Richthofen's quotes will be replaced with Sam's moon quotes

-Tombstone will replace Vulture-Aid

-A friend from France will be making his return, as well as some four-legged friends...

-A sp00ky hidden song will be implemented (its not the main EE song, its a secret one)

-D2P may not make the cut, but we are fighting to achieve akimbo weapons!

And lastly after looking at the poll, we have decided to start making videos! We will do some tests to see what you guys like to see! Series to be planned: Fracture Plays, Beans & Cheese Podcast, Mapping with Jammy, and other random crap... ::)

Nice spotting hex but we heavily modified it to fit our map. Compare the two and you will se we used it as a template but changed quiet a bit about it

I think the darker scene with the light being generated by the lava gave a better atmosphere to the map than the late afternoon setting, that's just my opinion though.

Update:
Celtic is being heavily worked on by all of us at Fracture Studios. We have been working on terrain and background stuff, while our other team members are preparing the map to have all the wonderful features we plan to include. After completion of the mapping, we will then send our map to our zoner, then portaler to give everyone who plays this map the best experience (Even with a not so good computer). We have decided after roughly a year of working on the map that we really need to get it ready for release. We hope to have this map completed towards the end of December but until then we will start to supply trailers and game play for this map is getting close to done.

- The easter egg is just about finalized
- We have made a list of everything we need for the final release for the map
- All of the features are just about done being scripted

Not much, mostly because of Civil Nativity. But once that's done and over with, we will get right back into Celtic! Around January (hopefully when the mapping is done) we will be doing a months worth of perfection. Perfecting weapons, mapping detail, scripts (EE, perks, new WW, buildables, ext.), HUD elements, and those super tiny things that really make it feel like a DLC 5 for BO2. Things like this include; Rumbling barrier repairs, grenade impacts, zombie eye glow, getting the correct weapon when downed, new knifing anims, character quotes/grunts, re-doing PaP camo ext.) Literally everything will hopefully be perfect. We also need time to portal the map. A lot is planned to be done after the YAW contest, and we hope to finally get it out by February - March. We also want to make 3 very official trailers (teaser, cinematic, release). We have chosen the main EE song, and we are also implementing ambiance, which leads me to the following... Celtic will have its own personal sound track which will hopefully be up to download at release. Tracks include the main EE song, every ambient track in the map, the secret EE song, the remastered perk jingles (re-done perk jingles that sound scary af), the game over song, and the alternate end game song...

So yeah, we've got a lot on our plate atm - but we really want this map to make an impact on the community in the best way possible. With that in itself, we also want to get the YT channel up and running with content soon. Expect to see frequent updates as we achieve our goals! :D ;)

There is no point in doing this, Celtic already has enough features to please everyone. This map is not one of those maps that has a bunch of bosses and perks, nor things that don't belong in the map. It is not very hard to implement the Mustang & Sally, many have done it (we already plan to have it). Redspace has not achieved proper duel wield yet, and the only one who has is offthewall (so in that case, his M & S is not perfect). We also already have our own PaP camo planned. People such as JBird and Rambo are working on their own projects, and we do not need their help anyway (ideas is one of the main reasons im in FS). :)

But, we DO plan on having 2 bosses, and 9 perks (one being brand new). We also have all of our weapons planned in a Trayarch style format (28 weapons all with PaP versions).

and redspace isn't the only person to get mustang and sally to work i know that offthewall and ugx had.

Offthewall and Treminaor (and possibly Pieman) are the only people I am aware of who have successfully pulled that off, and if I am honest, it is not likely to ever be a permenant fixture in the World at War custom scene as it is simply too buggy. Could be wrong, but I don't think so.

I do not believe Pieman has it working, certainly his dual zap guns were not independent firing - he still did a good job though

They were independent firing(the ones from Christmas, and the Mustang and Sally from Swan), they just didn't animate at all, and they reloaded together.  Offthewall's dual wield is the most advanced i've seen though.

Unfortunately, we are not going to release Celtic Ruins any time soon :alone: The reason behind this is that our mapper (Sirjammy) is currently  working on a new, fresh and an even better project than this. We are not sure if we are going to continue this project in the future. More info about this new exciting project will be released soon...

 The concept, back story and from what the screenshots showcased it seems you all have put a large amount of work in it! Hate it when things don't work out in life the way we plan. From page 1 this WIP has had me coming back for more, even if just to re-read that elaborate back story by hex  ::)

But it seems we might have something new coming our way for me to gawk at. So its not a complete loss  :)

Unfortunately, we are not going to release Celtic Ruins any time soon :alone: The reason behind this is that our mapper (Sirjammy) is currently  working on a new, fresh and an even better project than this. We are not sure if we are going to continue this project in the future. More info about this new exciting project will be released soon...

we want to thank everyone who showed their support for this map, and will soon announce the new project to the public!

So this map has been dead for over a year now, as Fracture Studios hit the material limit and are now busy with NT.
I have now been allowed to get the map working and released using the weapons i had in Kino. I will also see if i can remove any more unused waw assets to clear up some space.

I would really rather have this map work without T4M but it will be applied if necessary. Thank you :)

All the guys over on Fracture Forums where trying to get it to work and couldn't. How is it that you are able to? I'm not trying to doubt you Smasher, but what are you doing that they didn't? Also, I'm glad you are still around here friend  :)

yeahp plus when they were trying we didn't have access to all the tips and tutorials on saving assets space (looking at u harry :P) so i figured i will try my best to avoid t4m(which i think i can) but if not it will be released with t4m

Hi all, so ray has pointed out that we can fix the material error without using t4m just need to lift all decals 0.25 units from the surface they are on, so the techsets arnt created and hence dont take up material slots, im adding the mod now, and changing the decals so it shouldn't be too long before release, thanks

Smasher said he was working on it solo as he wanted to release it, I'm pretty sure, just been awhile since we heard from him.

would like to say this map is still being worked on but there is a lot to do, and it is on the low end of my priorities atm with college assessments and shit every few days atm, i am hoping that this map can be out during summer when i have a shitload more time, but if it can be released before bo3 then maybe jammy might want to release on bo3, if he or i did it up with bo3 assets, anyway it shouldn't come to that cause i will have 2 months off in summer :)
