Title: Port C4D models
Post by: _ChaosKevin on February 21, 2017, 12:48:46 pm
Cinema 4D has a lot of epic models made people all other the world. If there is a way to port those Models, than mappers could use them to make epic maps without spending hours of modeling themself.
What do you think.

just export them to a format that you can import to blender or maya. then you can export them to xmodel format to use in cod. can't be too hard.

they do

Its infact even easier than he said - a simple case of renaming files

Just one example is stevies oil rig - which is like 90% MW1 or 2 models

also hot tip - theres barely a mapper / modder alive that "spends hours modeling"

he's not talking about other cod titles though. he's talking about the models that come with c4d.

*AHEM*
Also, you can port C4D models, but you HAVE to have C4D. I haven't found a single plugin for like any software that is free and will port C4D models. You'd have to export to obj or fbx to even get them in Maya.
