Damn good job on release, this map is so amazing it feels like a Treyarch map but better! If anyone wants to hop on and figure out this easter egg with me add deadeyedominicvp or poosacs on steam, either should work.

Just letting you guys know there is a glitch where, if you use a teleport grenade to the left of the teleporter (under the brige - right side, if you where facing spawn) you can bypass the invisible barrier and swim + go under the castle and zombies cant get you. its hard to explain but the barrier im on about comes into the map by like a meter i would say and then using teleportation you can just leave the map by jumping over the wall. Hopefully you guys can fix it  :)   amazing map btw loving it so far!  :)

Set it automatic in any texture setting. Check if it works

Its in generic human, restart your map, w@w may have just not loaded the animtree in that instance.

Nah. I restarted WaW and kept trying. Idk what's up. I do have T4M.
Also, how would I fix the missing sound alias thing?

You can't fix the soundalias thing, that's on my end and its just the main menu music.  And I am 100% sure the anim is in generic_human.  Maybe re-download the map or verify game cache.  You are the only person with this problem as far as I know.

I have to say, I am so happy with the way this map turned out. The one of the first weapons I got was the GKZ-MK3! This map has so much to do and I'm completely enthralled in it all. Thank you guys for the release and I hope you make some awesome Black Ops 3 maps! :D :D :D

Fantastic map from what I can tell of the few hours I've played so far, my only complaint is how ridiculous the bosses get at round 12+. Two 'mega-panzers' at such an early round is way overkill IMO and kinda puts me off playing, but otherwise I love it.

This map is very enjoyable, and lots to do and figure out, wonderful aesthetics too :)

There are a few things I would look into though:

Lots of guns have the "move to bottom of screen" issue when you move, its a simple weaponfile fix and makes the guns feel so much better, yet so few mappers actually do it :lol:

Maybe add Respawn points/mechanics, when you are all at the Castle and your teammates spawn in the village it is near impossible for them to get anywhere before death, especially with that one player wide building to get through, one zombie = death.

If you don't have the M1911 on you you will pull out the WaW M1911 on death

Maybe remove zombie grabbing?

When the boss was spawned in, the charge at you glowy chest one, I had a floating Kar98k stuck to my character that followed me, only happened on the 2nd spawn of the boss, and when 2 players were timed out, for reference

Boss spawn rate, I know its like it is for a reason, and you want the map to be challenging, and I'm sure lots of people complain about this, but 2 Panzers on round 12/13 or whatever, after the other boss round before, is overkill, to me it has the same effect as Project Viking, where you cant fully enjoy the map due to the boss spam making it harder to get to a respectable round, especially when your teammates spawn at the village ages from anything, with a pistol, and 2 panzers after them...

There are a few smaller things I noticed too, such as Vector's worldmodel clip is positioned in wrong, straight not angled

Several gun sounds seem very quiet, mainly the BO1 guns

The Guided Launcher weapon, has no reload sound, and its sight has the double blend issue with lots of the map, making the sight invisible and glitch out

Front of Deadshot machine's glass is borked, shows as plain white glass and not the text for "deadshot daiquiri"

Some clipping around areas of the castle feels awkward to get around, certain doorways and the corners of the roof for one

Credits for Wraith in the topic? As it was used to get the MK3 model, and Blackcell model?

Also doesn't the topic title need to have [T4M] in it if the map uses T4M?

Trying to be constructive here, and not come off as nitpicking, I thoroughly enjoyed the map, and you have all clearly worked very hard on it, and have all done a fantastic job :) Just some fine tuning and it can become that bit better :D

just played 2 times, died on round 15 everytime from the "big boss"  :D
he just shoot his rockets and i died instantly lol  :o

i've collected all skulls except one i guess..and also the time machine is awesome, didnt find the point for it but i will..  :D
will try later for sure  ::)

Not sure if it's a bug but when you shoot at zombies head it doesn't work everytime :/

Been enjoying so far! Congrats on the Release! Anyways i have an advice and a couple bugs i found so far.
Quick Revive really needs to "fear" the zombies away, died on round 12 with "certain" boss because he was on top of me while i was reviving, so i got killed again. A wonderweapon has a couple of nugs, sometimes it doesnt reload unless you switch to another weapon and switch back again, and the skulls purple shine dissapears at some point, this could be bad to those who want to do this.

Welp. Nothing worked. I'm reinstalling WaW from scratch. Deleted 100% of WaW. All the maps I downloaded, the mod tools I installed for like 5 days then stopped mapping, ect. I'll report back to you.

Also, can I just use the Ragnarok.exe I downloaded this morning or do I need to download the map again?

T4M does work for disc users of the game. You need to download the LanFixed evrsion of CoD5's .exe app. I use the disc version and T4M works perfectly!  ;)

Hello,

when I try to play this map, it keeps crashing and telling me that it is " unable to find zone `C:\program files(x86)\steam\steamapps\common\call of duty world at war\zone\english\localized_nazi_zombie_ragnarok .ff  "

i've tried to re-download it twice already but it still does this.
does anyone know how to fix this? did I give enough info for it to be solved?

Hey, not sure if this a glitch or not but when whenever you get the rainbow ball out of your render distance it will re-spawn giving you another ball which basically (I'm guessing haven't done the Easter-egg) lets you get more of them making it so you don't have to find them all.

Panzer spawns in round 12 in the map so there is nothing to change it

Yeah, because when the first Panzer spawns, he just sprays the fire and it is too OP. But overall, this is a really great map!

Ill write up a changelog as I test this version.  Please note this fix will ONLY address the boss issues and be completely script based.  This way only the host will need the changed version, and both versions can play with each other.  I'm still testing the version so I will change this accordingly.

If you have a spare minute could you upload the map to MEGA too? Mediafire is being pathetically slow for me, the ETA to download the map is 10 hours when it should be little more than a few minutes.

Hey Guys love the map!  Just wanted to ask for some help from someone, I got the sword, then took the pink quest (which ever one that is, I did it by mistake), then I went to staminup and spent about half an hour figuring out the puzzle there.  Then I followed the orb getting a kill at each stop, then there was a big orb down where I first picked up the quest, then there was lots of symbols across the map and i didnt have a clue what to do? Could I request some help on this step? However I loved the boss battle on round 15, it was great, it also used all of my QR's but i beat it in the end and went on to round 18 and died trying to figure this out. Please respond!

I'm just can't wait to play but when I launch it the game has stopped working and it says something about out of memory needing like 175000000 bytes of memory and I have 6 GB of DDR3 so I don't get it :/

Nice job on the scripting for these guys but man are they OP. There must be some secrets to nerfing the Patriarch that I haven't figured out yet - he kills me with explosives every time.

Also wondering if DT is 2.0 or not? If not it really should be by now lol.

Nice job on the map, really love the unique atmosphere and the creative EE... Classically ridiculous level of difficulty I've come to expect from Pieman lol.

DT is 1.0 because we have Vigor Rush which is 2x bullet damage.  The map runs on a heavily modified Bo1 Mod from Leviathan so Double Tap is like it is in Bo1.

Ooof they should not be separated imo, waste of my perk slot to get DT if it has no double damage. But to each his own :) I understand staying true to BO1

Can you possibly fix the spawns of the zombies since they spawn all the way back in spawn when your in the castle which makes rounds so slow.

great map you did a hell of a job, i was wondering do i need the grenades out of the box for the gravity spikes or is there another way? cause solo is being a pain and i cant get them out of the box i spent so much trying to get them.
oh and the bosses where pretty cool and the little cut scene boss was ace he takes one hell of a beating not to hard tho with the right perks.

well, we beat the map but when we finish all the panzer, nothing happend.... we have see a spaceship in a corner of the winter room but the red things didn't diseapear...

So is there something we need to do to unblock the end ?

Freakin' fun map guys. I just love how the map starts off and burns slow and then turns up the heat. Really forces you to make the most of the time you have before it gets real. Love the atmosphere and how the map feels; the castle is badass, the bridge is fantastic, the little town is fun; easily one of the best ever  8)

Glad to see everyone is having fun :D The challenge is fun and real! Should give a prize to the first person/persons who beat the easter egg.

I bet $ 10 the community will complain that Phd is not active during the last stage or during the stage of green marks on the ground that we must protect attacks RAPS.
I do not know why but I feel that Phd will be available in a future update ^^

I beat the panzers in the snowy forest but when I wanted to go and rest in the cabin, I experienced a painful experience!  :D

Again thank you for all the work done, it's really a great map, much better than some maps from Treyarch  8)

I have only good things to say about it but it is true that solo is super fucking hard!

I think everybody knows what killed me. One-hit killing rockets from Patriarch :fuuu: Good map though, there are always nitpicky stuff to be found, so Im not going to bother, lol. Only question is, do the crystals always give powerups or do they give anything else?

5 crystals = x2
10 = nuke bomb
15 = instant kill
20 = firesale
25 = max ammo
30 = random Points
45 = Extra perk slot

Each pedestal gives a different powers-up :)

well we beat the spaceship, destroy all the rapts aaaaaaaand nothing... nothing came out after that.
after that we tried to see if the ship was stuck somewere with a noclip but nothing... you can watch our gameplay here : (the bug begin in 2h15m)

if you need more guy for beta testing you can count on us ;) we're good for map crashing and finding bugs haha^^

I beat the map on the version you were running.  The bug may be rare.  I hope it is.  Still may do an update, but probably not for some time.

I will try again later, but it's possible that something's not working right with more than one pepole ? because echt time ennemies stop comming and we got stuck in the area :/ We tried the map 4 times and we got the bug for all

last update for what i know for the last boss:

if you want to go to the last boss you need to let the panzer move and attaque before killing them if you don't do that something broke and the panzers stop spawning.

for the spaceship, after the first step i don't know why but the rapts keep comming until you die and the spaceship don't come again. (or they stop spawning and like the panzers you will be stuck)

if someone have a hint to how to unblock the last step of the fight let me know x)

Game crashes instantly upon trying to load map.

Sorry if this is a common zombies issue and is easily solved, new to zombie modding. I have tried verifying files for Cod: Waw and it still crashes every time. I used the map installer.

Does the upgraded swords  dammage the round 15 boss,like can they one shot kill him ? I was in the last step to upgrade it but I didn't had the chance cause HE one-shot killed me :p .

Look the map is cool but it has so many unpolished features that ruin the map and need to be fixed, love everything about the map except for the broken features, such as PHD only working for the first person to buy it. So the boss kills the second player with one rocket regardless of his perks, second the knifing is horrendous its just broken...  :poker:
There are other problems too like the bosses glitching out when using certain grenades and the egg glitches out. 
Its really disappointing that you guys are just throwing the map in the gutter now and apparently moving onto "Bigger and better things", that is literally just laziness. We don't want you to add features and all that, those can stay how they are and everyone will be happy. But fix the glitches, its as bad as ZNS at launch and if you have honestly just abandoned the map then that is just plain sad.

But fix the glitches, its as bad as ZNS at launch and if you have honestly just abandoned the map then that is just plain sad.

Just some things about the map.

The rocket launcher when its pack a punched, seems to do astronomical damage against the patriarch. 3-4 shots on any of his boss rounds seems to kill him instantaneously. He doesnt even get a chance to heal, he just dies right then and there.

The gersh device seems to bug out both the patriarch and the flesh pound. It seems they mimic the same behaviour as the regular zombies. They either get sucked in or walk towards it, then they suddenly spas out on their models, fleshpound becomes incredibly slow even when enraged, and the patriarch seems to have problems just trying to shoot at you.

Also another little thing i found, even with the aid of phd flopper, when he did his little airstrike, the 3rd rocket (all 3 hit me) downed me.

Either than that, it's a great map, even if the easter egg was well, a little confusing to figure out.

Hi this map looks amazing and I can't wait to play it but i'm having issues, well not me my game works fine but everytime my friend trys to load the map he gets "Unexpected Handle Caught" and the game crashes. He has T4m installed and has reinstalled WaW and it still gives this error. Does anyone know what might be causing it?

Really really love this map, been playing it nonstop the last 3 days. The only issue I have is that the M.A.S.T.E.R. of Death makes all of the bosses a joke. Other than that the map is perfect. I hope that we will be able to play past 25 soon.

can't wait till the ships fixed :) I wish the previous fight in ice area was more difficult though feels like a breeze. May I suggest adding bosses on ground to the ship fight ? and toning down the Master of death that insta kills anything in its sights :) thank you for my favorite map.
I hope round 25+ gets fixed before project abandon.. Would love to see how high we can make it!

Help. I want to start the Map in Solo but it crashes directly. I have downloaded T4M and patched the german verion into uncut english.Why it crashes when i want to start. And antoher point for you pieman. When i want to start leviathan the start gun is floating in front of my face and i restartet the game 3 or 4 times and it is floating still there.

My friend and I both have T4M and when I shoot any zombie a little into round 2, my game freezes and he loses connection.

We don't mess with FOV or cheats. Any possible solutions?

You're comparing 2 guys who worked on a map in what is possibly little spare time they have to a company who is under one of the biggest game studios with the guys working on it being their full time job. Doors over there. :)

My apologies, from your previous comments, something along the lines of "There will be no more updates" (Correct me if i am wrong as i may be) I obviously got the wrong impression. Me and my mate really love this map but we were both extremely disappointed when we heard that it was getting no more updates. But if the updates will be coming then there is nothing i can complain about. We understand you may be busy, i wasnt complaining about the lack of updates. I was under the impression that this was the final product.

What would be great as it would be that the raps stopped to blow us has the mouth once you have destroyed the mother ship.
In solo mode, if you don't  purchased quick revive  before receiving all perks with the easter egg, the game is dead.

Quick revive is not added and once the Mothership destroyed raps explode on us without flopper, impossible to survive ...

Started up the map and ran into so many texture glitches. I made sure I had T4M then I messed around with all of the texture settings in game including changing it to high texture settings from extra. Sadly nothing is working.
I am having the same issue, the textures are all buggy and it makes the map practicality impossible!

So I managed to stop the crashing and I was able to load up the map. Now however, about every 30 seconds or entering a new area of the map, the game freezes and I have to tab out to unfreeze it. It is really bothering me because I really want to play this map :(

Lower your settings, and make sure you can get steady frames (mostly above 60 but this map does have drops) and make sure you can keep a steady amount, depending on your system specs too.

This happens with every map and not just the custom one. WaW never had a fix to allow the user to get back into the game after tabbing out. Try adding it to window mode by typing "r_fullscreen 0" into the console and then typing in the console "vid_restart". Do not add quotes. You could also use a window no border software if you wanted to get rid of the border after making it windowed.

I think this map's easter egg is nearly impossible without PhD flopper working correctly against the raps. I know it is supposed to be difficult but it already is difficult by just how many steps it has and how many things have to go right. All I ask is that PhD flopper works and besides that its a good map :D

When I load the map I get an error that says "couldnt load image_ads_zombies". This has also caused another map, Leviathan to also crash during loading.
Fixed the problem, it was an issue on my end.

I installed T4M, and opened WAW, went to mods, clicked on UGX ragnarok, and it loaded the ragnarok mod, then I clicked the ragnarok button, and the game crashed on the loading screen. Not sure if this is a problem with the map, with T4M, or the fact that I have WAW on CD, not on steam.

If you go to the T4M download page it should be there, all you need to do is drag the EXE it comes with into your WaW core folder, then create a shortcut on your desktop and run it like that :)

Turning off Spec maps/ Reducing Normal & Spec map quality seems to help if T4M is installed, I haven't had any issues with spec maps being on, but a few friends have. Fiddle with the texture settings until they work and if it still doesn't well, maybe it's time for an upgrade.

No need for it, it'd probably glitch out the swords in some way plus you can see most of the weapons in the box

So a friend of mine with similar computer specs to me keeps getting texture glitches that make it so difficult to see that it's unplayable. I however have not had these issues. We both have T4M, Same Settings. We moved his settings to the lowest possible settings and still have issues.

Any thoughts?

True,but it will probably get me around 7-10 times to get every single gun from the box and if I dont know how many guns there are then I can't be sure if I even got them all.But I guess tha'ts the only possible way so it's time for some old gun huntin'

Great map. Needs more weapons from the box. Very little amount and most weapons seem to be from BO1, with no WaW weapons, and very little (if any) weapons from BO2/3.
Also a (glitch? Feature?) where the Orbs (glowing metoer things) stopped spawning after we obtained quite a few (over 60) Is this intended?

Mediafire is utter cancer, it will always redirect you to some ad site bullshit.
And I'm running ABP plus a pop up blocker on it, yet I still get redirected on that site.

It's on one of the small bumps on the bridge, between the wall and a small sandbag. I had more grenades at the time, so I could get out of it again.
Also I'd like to ask if this map can be played with 4 players, since in solo (and I'm not kidding) out of about.. 20 games so far, I've never ever spawned as Takeo. It's only Richtofen, Nikolai or Dempsey.
I mean, by pure chance I should play as Takeo around 25% of the time, right?
Mind you, I rarely just stay in the game/restart, but instead back out to the main menu and start a new game. So I get a new random character.

You can unlock with the ragnarok if you have them, otherwise you must have grenades on you but sometimes there is nothing to do ... Once I was stuck in a tree near the well ^^

They intentionally prevent players from using cheats to keep the experience of the map the way it was intended.

make sure you've installed all the patches for the game before trying to play any custom maps.

This is due to all of the stuff in the map.  Trying to do all of this on a game engine from 2008 (I think that is when its from) even with T4M makes it very unstable.  Not sure if there is really anything I can do.

Just updated from 1.0 to 1.2 and can no longer join or host LAN games.  Anyone have any input on this?  I've opened the firewall up completely to test and still nothing.  This is the only mod so far that locks up.

Okay I love this map from what I've seen but whenever I play the map and I get a few rounds in (or right of the bat when I start the map) it will stutter and it will act as if the game crashes so I'll open task manager and then it will put me back into the game and act as if nothing has gone wrong and then when I get to about round 3-5 in that range, I get a random error and the game crashes and the error is "directx has encountered an unrecoverable error" and I have no idea how to fix it so if anyone knows how to fix this please tell me.

Any idea on how to get it to work with CO-OP?
When trying to play with a friend, if I'm the host he'll get kicked when the game is on the loading screen and it'll tell me there is not enough players to continue.

Great map, but I continuously receive the same error in console, something along the lines of "weapon_colt_bo_fire is 3d, but has a multichannel asset". I don't know how to fix this.

you can either
1) collect about 40 or 50 of those coloured rocks around the map and put them on the wooden stand near dead shot which will give you a perk slot
2) defeat the boss which pops up on I think round 15 or more which gives you a free perk
3) or complete most of the easter egg which at some point gives you all perks

Hey so I downloaded the .exe but when I launch it it comes up with an NSIS error.
Have no clue what it is and it seems like I'm the only person in the world to have this problem.
It says the following: Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media.

No shit. You have 4 perk slots by default and if you unlock the extra one you'll have 5. If you buy 4 perks and then grab the free perk form the boss, how many perks do you have then? 5. 5 perks for 5 slots.

On another note, is there any way to stop the map from randomly freezing? I played a bunch of games in the past few days on this map and so far that happened 3 or 4 times. It happened once on round 7 with 1 zombie remaining and twice on higher rounds. There is no g_spawn error or any other error message. Just suddenly stops on 1 frame and a few seconds later windows will tell me it's unresponsive and ask me if I wanna close it.
It's really annoying, since the setup on this map takes quite a while.

Also i've noticed a bug with the boss at round 15 where he'll get stuck running into the wall and seems impossible to kill until you can manage to un-bug him. Not 100% sure but i think it may have been something from the gravity spikes

The rockets don't activate if you're too close to whatever you are targeting. Try firing them from farther away.
