Hey guys. I recently started working on another map and this is my first map where I'm cooperating with tomikaze ;)
Features:
- custom guns, nothing WaW
- working flashlight as an item
- It's scary and dark, like in a horror
- first release of my mod will be included
Planned:
- Storyline
- MOAR, MOAR custom guns
- and more to come.... ;)

Dynamic sunlight is pretty shitty in CoD5, the ambient light does not change which makes day/night cycles a joke.

I spent some time developing that in July 2012 before I decided it was too much time wasted and reverted back to the regular menu style. I also ran into some issues fitting my design on 4:3 res screens.

I'll make a note of that. Although I want the map's difficulty to be balanced and players should decide what stuff they want or not so they can fully experience the map.

Its been a while. Ive been experimenting with various worldspawn settings and this one turned out to be the best. You can also see the new HUD, font, B23R tactical with original BO2 anims (spec maps need fixing though). Also I scrapped the idea of the dynamic sunset. And since this map is taking place in 2025 Richtofen will be the announcer.

Mhm... how did you get those sunlight casting shadows of zombies? My sunlight only makes shadows on models. Brushes do not recieve light or shadows in the outside...

Also if you think you are a zombie pro - Veteran difficulty will now make the whole map nearly-pitch black.

Just saying, I don't see how making the map pitch blank is a difficulty increase. It's more of a playability decrease because they can't see what the hell they are doing. You also can't prevent people from just turning up their gamma and brightness in-game or on their monitor.

I have to agree. If you wanna add more difficulty then go for it but reducing brightness is just ridiculous for gameplay.

It's a setting, you don't need to have it on. You'll have a flashlight still.

Well you posted a nearly 100% black image with no flashlight in it so I assumed you expected players to play completely blindly. If you are using contrast vision to achieve the darkness then you're probably going to have trouble making an effective flashlight.
Interested to see what it looks like when you get it set up though, could end up looking pretty cool.

The zombie models are stock WaW. Been planning to change them to BO2 ones.
And the vision is default zombie_factory. I'm just changing various graphic stuff in real time.
@DeathBringerZen The map has a huge detail level increase comparing to my previous one named "zombie island".

Sorry to bother but would you like to tell me what fx you use for your flashlight in this map. So what is the name of the fx you use for the flashlight? Or maybe it is a custom fx you have?
I am looking for a good flashlight fx but none of them in WaW that I have tested are not that great for a flashlight. The light fx's in WaW are either to sharp on the gun or the light fx are too weak on the gun, so I need a fx that really fits.
