Title: Custom maps never load?

alot of custom maps i download never load once installed, I get "Unhandled Exception Caught" error.
My friend I play with has 0 issues with his Game/Mod so I know its my machine. Ive tried the following:
Changing the Sound settings on Windows ( following YouTube Tutorials )
Changing the game's compatibility settings to Windows XP s/p 2
Changing my Graphics ingame and via my Graphics card
Reinstalled COD:WaW and Verified the game integrity
Removed all mods and reinstalled them/ redownloaded again
Deleted the Treyarch.bik file ( which lets the game load to a white bar then freezes )

Do you get this error when you go to start the map?

Are you sure they just aren't T4M maps and you don't have T4M installed?

No it starts to load then it'll either crash the game or it'll just freeze the screen.
type developer 1 in console and see if it says more about the error

These might be of use to you:
- Make sure if you have the CD version of WaW that you have updated the game up to V1.7 otherwise stuff won't work. (The steam version automatically does this however)
- Unless your using a computer from the early 2000s, your specs will be more than capable of running the maps.
- Make sure all folders in Appdata/Activision/CoDWaW/mods are UNCHECKED for read only in their properties
- Try running WaW as administrator if you can, that might help
- If all else fails, (as Alec says) when in main menu go to Options -> Game Options and ENABLE the console, then press this button (¬) and type "developer 1" and "developer_script 1" run the mod and hopefully more information will be given, if not, there might be error logs in your World at War root directory (Programfiles/steam/steamapps/common/Call of Duty: World at War) that might help further diagnose the problem
