If the map crashes on launch for you or if you get a wierd texture glitch ingame, make sure that your texture quality is NOT set on extra, you can have it on high or lower, just so it is NOT on extra

Description:
Graveyard Shift is a map that was inspired by a game called "One Late Night", an indie horror game that takes place in an office building. This map is nothing like One Late Night, I just got inspired by the idea of making a big zombies map set in an office building. But you won't just be an office building, there's also a big outside area.

Without my good old friend Codmoddd1234, this map would be a box map, because before I started making this map, I always thought of just making a box map, looooool. Codmoddd1234 helped me a ton, he tought me the basics of modding, mapping and scripting, so thanks a ton, codmoddd1234. :D

This map that has been worked on for a very long time now, it hasn't always been worked on during that time, though, just that sometimes I've come across issues that I didn't know how to fix. Which lead to that I lost motivation and didn't work on it, but later on managed to fix all issues.

Features:
Health does not regenerate, you have to find health packs. The health packs will respawn after 10 minutes you took one.

Find Armour to get extra protection from damage, does not work on fall damage. (Don't worry, there's PHD flopper.) Same thing as health packs, armour packs will respawn after 10 minutes.

Powerups can give you 50+ health and armour. (max health and armour is 100.)

Dynamic Weather, as in lightning can hit you, if you're outside. You can protect yourself from lightning by using lightning rods.

All WaW and BO1 perks, and also electric cherry and who's who.

BF3, BF4 guns, and one BF hardline gun, and some CSGO guns. + raygun of course.

New way of picking up parts for buildables.

Buildable HL2 blade trap

Buildable Power system to power perks, similar to the turbine in BO2 zombies. (Don't worry, perks will be on forever once you've activated perks, you get 1000 points for activatin a perk.)

Zipline

Claymores

Tactical Insertion (Only in COOP)

Able to switch to your knife as a primary weapon if you hold Meleebutton, useful when having insta kill.

great map but had alot of issues with parts getting stuck in walls and just not being able to pick them up other than that its pretty dam good

Epic HL2 mod, really nice job on the gore! It's just missing some Combine...

But really, I'm mostly into custom weapons, but DAMN there was so much to do in this map, you've done an excellent job. This also happens to be the only mod that really put some strain on my rig :accepted:

You have to press F on them to open them after buying them. They also close after a few seconds as well.

im sure this map is great, but no joke, i had points where i was only at 10 or 15 frames per second while playing this, i would love to play this more, but please fix the issue, or tell me how i could fix it myself

    A really nice map that plays around with scripts in a nice, refreshing, and unique way. It gives a breath of fresh air to veteran zombies players and offers a never-before seen dynamic in the game mode. The health system causes players to be more cautious and sparing about their received hits while also giving the potential to survive more hits at one specific instance if such caution is taken.
    From what I've played of the map, there are no big noticeable problems, except maybe a part falling through the floor out of nowhere (but it respawns anyway, so it's fine). I do have one question, though. I recently did a game where I could not find the box, no matter how hard I searched. I followed the blue light, but any nearby location was not being used. Is there any way I could have some help with this problem? I was really looking forward to getting the Raygun for my run until that happened.

Thanks for all the nice comments and feedbacks. :) I have a question to people who have played my map coop. If you managed to get the parachute, when you jumped down in the elevator shaft and pressed F to use the parachute, did only the host manage to get up the roof? Because I was playing my map with my friend and he wasn't able to use his parachute when he fell in the elevator shaft, but I was. Has anyone else experienced this?

Have you tried do the thing it says under the download button?
did you manage to get the shrink ray working in this Ege?
I've got a lot of feedbacks about that I should have added a proper WW, I guess I'll add something in the next update, if anyone still cares. :please:

Update 1.1 has now been released for the map, the download links are updated, I've fixed the following:
- Fixed a glitch were if you grab a part and if a lightning rod was nearby you, you won't be able to pick up the part again.
- Fixed a glitch were you didn't get a pistol when respawning.
- Fixed it so if you only had 1 gun and then took a gun from the box, it wouldn't give you another gun, it would just keep replacing the 1 gun you have.
- Made a different way of killing the player if you fell down the elevator shaft, the way before made it so the character made a breathing sound forever which was annoying.
- Fixed a glitch were claymores could hurt you and other players.
- Fixed a glitch were the HL2 blade trap did insta kill on players.
- Clipped a model and added a pathnode at a place where zombies derped.
- Removed the CoD4 glass specular maps on the car models.
- Added the pap camo on the raygun, as the only pap camo change was the glowing part, now it has the blue pap camo on the rest of the gun.
- Changed the hintstring on the parachute part, the model is actually a radio, but I didn't have a proper parachute radio so some people were confused about if it actually was a parachute. Now it'll instead say on the hintstring that it is a parachute.

Also, added the Baby gun to the map, as there were so many requests that the map should have had a proper WW. Thanks HitmanVere for porting the models, animations, sounds and making the FX's. :)

Same issue here. I get a black screen in-game and only pause menu will actually display. I get about 3 fps and I can hear in-game audio and gun lag is like a second long. I can run Oil Rig fine, or any T4M map for that matter, so a non-T4M map should run like a breeze, this doesn't. Not my pc's issue, this map seems amazing but is poorly optimized.

I didn't know the framerate was THAT bad for a lot of people. :( I guess I need to learn and get help with portalling at some point and make a 1.2 update... ugh

What graphics settings are you using for the map? texture quality? specular map on/off etc?

My graphics are on high and I turned spec maps off before playing, I have a good GPU too so it shouldnt be a problem, but idk

    Two things to note, however, one of which is the fact that I dolphin dove into a puddle and got stuck in prone and couldn't move. The puddle was located near the buildable desk with the TV on it. I did have PhD at the time, as well, if that affected anything.
     
    The second and final thing is really minor and just a little personal pet peeve. Why don't the Shrink Gun kills count in the kill counter? It feels kinda weird getting a game over on round 30 with only about 400 kills next to your name. Not really a big issue, though, just pointing it out :P
 
    Map is great, though. Would rate 31-79 JGb215/10

parts are now imposible to grab :(
i can't pick up any of them
I just tried it out myself now, I can pick them up just fine, you have to stand a bit away from the parts until the hintstring shows. Don't stand directly on it.

Did you play solo or coop? For me, picking up parts has always worked on solo and coop.

Shit :(, looks like a bug happened so you didn't get damaged because you had PHD... I have to fix that for the next update some time.

Update:
I will try and optimize my map for the next update (Which hopefully will be the last update), is anyone still interested in playing this map if I do so? We'll see when the update comes, as I also got Nuketown Remastered to work on. :) I will let someone who has framerate issues test the optimization first before I release it here, so that person can tell me how well the map is optimized.

I will still be around  :). Still need to do Co-Op on this, too. Been Soloing and chilling since it came out. I'm not one of the people with FPS issues, though.

Have you restarted the map and tried again? (in coop), because if this happens all the time in coop, then I got to make a quick QUICK update.

Is it a specific buildable the parts don't work, or all of them?

EDIT: I just tested picking up parts in coop with Riptide1106, and it worked like it does on solo, not sure why it didn't work for you.

Optimazation + bug fix update
As there were some people who couldn't run my map, or barely, I am now releasing this new update that should imrove the perfomance for this map. Radimax tested this update for me, before the update, he got like 12 FPS, and now after this update, he told me he got 50-70 FPS. Now, how much it improves for you depends on your specs, but it should definently run better for you. Thanks SirJammy and HitmanVere for teaching my a bit about portalling, and also blackjackjonnyy's tutorials.

Fixes/changes:
- Fixed a bug were you would only get 10 points for killing zombies if you had double tap 2.0.
- Fixed a bug were a zone didn't get activated in coop.
- Parachute and MPX weaponfile had shared ammo names, meaning that you would get more ammo for the MPX when parachuting, if you had it, fixed.
- Fixed a bug were the baby gun kills wouldn't count towards your kill count.
- Made the AWS firing sound sound louder, was pretty quiet before.
- Fixed a bug were you didn't die if you'd fall down in the elevator shaft if you had PHD flopper.
- Changed textures on some doors to make it clear what doors that can and can't be opened.
- Reduced price on the JNG-90 from 500 to 200.
- Reduced price on the Tec-9 from 600 to 500.

You guys who couldn't run my map, tell me how it goes, if you'll try it out. :)

What version are you playing? if the mapname says "Graveyard Shift" then you're playing an old version, the new version is called "Graveyard Shift 1.2".

Edit: Oh shit, I need to fix that double tap quick quick, I'll do a quick small update that should fix that today! But falling in the shaft with PHD without dying.. I fixed that in the 1.2 update.

UPDATE: 1.2.1 Download links updated
Fixed a bug with double tap where it would keep damaging a zombie if you just shot a zombie once. (Thanks neuropunk for reporting)

Here's a guide where he explains some of the things he has figured out in the map out if you need it. :)
