Did you try attempting to run the map again?

Add pb_dw_prone_shellshock in animtrees/multiplayer.atr and recompile mod

Are you using the localized_mapname.ff or the mapname_patch.ff?

mapname patch

You should not need to do this. I tested both the .ff's on my laptop that didn't have the pb_dw_prone_shellshock in animtrees/multiplayer.atr.

I can assure you that something on install must've went wrong on your part, which happens to everyone because we are human. I would say do the install again with a fresh download.

animalover was able to get the guns installed as well so I can imagine that they are working fine

Im sorry to have wasted your time. It turned out I somehow accidentally used the 1.1 .iwd instead of the 1.2 .iwd
