In the current version of the BO3 Modtools (Beta), dog spawners are missing from the test map but are not disabled in the scripts by default. This causes you to get stuck on an infinite dog round when you play your map. You can fix this by adding dog spawners or disabling dogs in your map file. Treyarch also did not include a dog spawner prefab with the tools at this time, so you would normally have to grab stuff from The Giant mapfile.

If you want to add dog spawners to your map or disable them, check out the wiki page: https://confluence.ugx-mods.com/display/UGXMODS/BO3+%7C+Adding+Dog+Spawners+or+Disabling+Dog+Rounds

UGX Christmas - Remastered
Coming to your PC this christmas - if Treyarch lets us ;P

Many of you beautiful OG's will remember UGX Christmas for World at War, the first map to ever feature a working version of UGX Mod v1.0 - it only had a couple gamemodes and a terrible in-game menu but it was a blast to play. UGX plans to remaster many of its World at War projects for Black Ops 3, and I thought why not start with one of our oldest maps :)

So far what I've done is load the original map file into Radiant Black and fix all of the missing textures and models with their BO3 equivalents. Next I enlisted JBird632 to help me detail this into BO3-worthy glory. He added in some sweet little details and experimented with some weather - ended up with this:

We plan to remaster the entire original layout and then expand the map to give it more areas to open up. We also hope to have the first version of UGX Mod for Black Ops 3 on this map when you guys get your hands on it, but zero promises there ;) That's totally in the hands of Treyarch right now since we still don't have enough script access to do anything remotely like UGX Mod.

Huge Upcoming Forum Update!

These changes will be available to donors this September via the UGX-Mods Beta Program

We've been working very hard to make some huge visual and usability improvements to the current forum design. We've had the same forum style for the last 5 years and we've very well aware it's totally outdated and ugly now ;)

We aim to totally re-style the forum to look fresh and current. You will notice the theme is now blue instead of red, and the style of it is more minimalist and sleek. Huge credit goes to Alexander "Delta" Diller for heading the development of CKEditor for our SMF forum as well as making a ton of improvements and cleanup to the new forum theme design I started earlier this year :boss:

Probably the biggest improvements to the forum so far is the addition of a mobile-friendly/responsive design and a WYSIWYG editor for making forum posts (known as CKEditor). The new editor will allow you to see how your posts/replies will look in realtime while you write them! No more messing with BBC or source text and guessing how everything will look before hitting the preview button. Of course anyone who still prefers to write in pure source/bbc can still do so with the new editor :)

UGX Donators <3 have been given many in-depth updates, screenshots, gifs, and videos of this forum update for the last few months, and now it's finally time for us to show some it publicly to everyone ;)

If you would like to access a beta of the new forum style and editor, you can do so by becoming a UGX Donator. The beta will be available soon (hopefully within the next 2 weeks if everything goes according to schedule)

New Forum Structure/Layout for BO3

Hello all!

We have finished restructuring our forum layout to support Black Ops 3 modding discussion and (future) map/mod releases! You will notice World at War has been separated into its own discussion section as well.

The Black Ops 3 section is read-only unless you are part of the BO3 Modtools Alpha. If you are a part of the BO3 Modtools Alpha program, please message a staff member with proof and we will give you posting/reply permissions for the BO3 Modtools Alpha section. Once the Alpha becomes public, everyone will have posting/reply privileges in that section :)

Finally we have removed some boards which we found were either unused or sources of regular spam in order to clean up the board layout:
- Custom Map Ideas
- Highscores

Please let us know if you experience any bugs with the new layout.

While we are not obligated to notify you when the forum rules are updated, we have made two major changes which we want to make the community aware of. Due to recent behavior by certain members of the community we have chosen to add two rules to the forum regarding modifying other people's released maps/mods and releasing cheating tools. You can view the full rules here.

Here are the two new rules:
Quote from: Updated Forum Rules
11. Don't tweak other people's work without permission.
You may not upload a modification of another community member's work without their explicit permission. This includes making patches or updates to a map/mod, remakes, and any other act which involves uploading a modified version of something released on this website. If we receive a complaint that someone's content has been ripped off/modified without permission, the thread will be closed until the issue is resolved.

12. Don't release ways to cheat/tamper with other people's work without permission.
Tools & files used to circumvent any protected content on this site are prohibited. This includes cheat scripts, cheat engines, cheat utilities, and any other script/tool which is used to bypass cheat protection, copy protection, or beta protection for anything released on this site.

If anyone wanted the limited edition Jugg Fridge from the BO3 bundle and missed out on it I'm trying to sell mine to help pay for a trip I'm taking in a couple weeks.

Hey everyone, thanks for clicking this thread.

TL;DR - Bryan (MrSlagovich) wants to fly from Scotland to California to meet up with me for a week and record a documentary of the whole thing. He could really use your help raising the money, because the round-trip plane ticket will cost $1200 USD. If you'd like to know why we want to meet, keep reading. Thanks :)

Bryan and I have been friends for over 4 years now. In fact we consider each other to be best friends even though we've never actually been in the same room together before. It's crazy to say that one of my best friends practically lives on the other side of the planet but that's just how things ended up happening. We first met back when UGX was still a little off-shoot forum from ZM that nobody knew or cared about. Back when Comosea was still in development.

We've been playing around with the idea of meeting each other for a couple years now and we think it's finally time to do it, but it's going to cost a lot of money. The plane ticket is going to be roughly $1200 USD because summertime flights are always more expensive than wintertime, and we don't have time to spend a week together during the school year.

Bryan has been saving money for this trip for over a year but he's still only about half way to the goal. We dreamed maybe there would be some overly generous people out there who would be willing to throw a few bucks in to help make this happen and get Bryan closer to his goal. He went ahead and set up a GoFundMe so that people can see his progress and his story. You can read his side of this story on the GoFundMe page.

Bryan's never been to America before and I want to show him one of the best places you can visit: San Francisco, California. I'll take him to all the sights and food attractions in the area and he'll be filming the whole thing with an action camera (hopefully a GoPro if he can afford one soon). At the end of the trip he's going to make a video out of the whole thing and post it online for everyone to see. We're also going to try to record a video podcast on location in San Francisco if we can get the equipment.

So if you'd like to help make this happen, please visit the GoFundMe page and consider a donation. Literally any amount helps and it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

PS: yes I abused my admin powers to frontpage this non-UGX related post :P

UGX Mod Standalone placed 35th in the ModDB MOTY 2015 Contest!

After weeks of waiting, we finally received our official ranking from ModDB! We did WAY better than we did two years ago in the last contest - last time we were 74th out of 100 and this year we are 35th ;)

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who voted for us in this contest! Without your support we would have not even placed into this contest to begin with! It is a huge accomplishment to have placed this highly when compared to other amazing mods for games that aren't over 7 years old! The CoD: WaW modding community is still very much alive as proven by your overwhelming support in this contest :)
