The Basics: You're rich, your pad is amazing, and you party all night and sleep all day. You're living the dream in Los Santos, San Andreas, but life is about to get real. You play as Michael De Santa, Sarah Michelle Geller, a Los Santos Police Officer or Michael Rooker as zombies are breaking in - even though some of them might be Charlie Sheen trying to give Sarah Michelle Gellar AIDS; still what will you do in order to survive? Time to use all of your gadgets and perks of your privileged life to send the zombies back to the grave.

What We Liked: The look and layout of this map are incredibly fun with tons of places to drop down from and run to safety.  There are all Black Ops guns and perks along with a new custom perk that will allow you to defy gravity. There is also a cool Der Riese style catwalk that you can hold off the zombies on for those who love them some campin'! There are custom traps throughout the map like a baseball launcher, a tennis ball shooter and several poison sprinklers all able to be controlled from anywhere by your very own iPhone er...I-Zom (to avoid legal trouble). I love the SWAT team zombies that spawn in as they have very unique way of making your life difficult. Finally, there is an interesting way to unlock an elevator which takes you up to the PAP machine as well as a fun little objective that actually has to do with killing zombies and not looking endlessly for BS parts.

What We Didn't Like: Nothing really; this map does so much right and utilizes every square inch to near perfection while providing a great zombie base for survival.

The Final Word:
A fantastic map that is full of creative and fun features that will keep you entertained for a good while. Don't forget to buy some Grav-a-rita while you are there and maybe take the leap of faith if you are brave. For those who love running, gunning, flying and surviving monstrous jumps then this map is for you!

Creator: CreepersAreEpic (Ping998)

Setting: Shortly after the events of Discovery Island a team of highly trained soldiers has been sent to some ancient ruins to investigate a supposed element 115 sighting...WFT, am I reading the same script that's been used for like 300+ custom zombie maps? Screw this, I'm writing my own version.
That old crazy bastard, Walt Disney, setup theme parks to attract young children and began kidnapping them and harvesting their brains in his underground lab where he'd then hook up all the brains to a machine and use their combined happy thoughts to summon a powerful alien entity to take him with them and give him eternal life and their own planet and 72 virgins and a truck load of blow.

Positives: I've really liked all of the maps I've played by CreepersAreEpic, both Bunbury and Discovery Island were fun maps. This map looks better than both of its predecessors with a better, more fun layout and good use of heights as there are ramps, tunnels in the sky and underground areas which all take you around the map where everything connects in a pretzel-like shape. There are tons of guns from COD4 all the way to Advanced Warfare so you are sure to find something you like. Once again there are no wall weapons so every gun must be purchased from the mystery box; I think that is a really cool idea which seem to be a trend on all Creeper's maps. There are 10 hidden switches to location and each of them unlock a perk machine location, the PAP machine and the buyable ending location hidden in an underground cavern. There are also 3 hidden teddy bears and 3 soul chests to fill to give you some extra optional things to do.

Negatives: Regarding the objective - these are the exact same objective that the mapper has used in each of his previous maps with really no variation. It isn't that it's not fun, but it's not creative in the least. The only reason to play this map over the previous ones would be newer guns and a new layout to run around in. There were quite a few places on the map that I could train zombies very easily and after just a couple rounds I knew all the zombie spawn locations and could run the map with my eyes closed (more-or-less); even areas with tall grass seemed surprisingly easy to navigate.

Conclusion: This map does look better than the mapper's previous two offerings but in the end it suffers from being too easy and feeling like you've done all this too many times before. Overgrowth is a fun, relaxing map and depending on how forgiving you are may offer enough to convince you to see it through to the end but the lack of difficulty or anything new and fresh may mean that you never come back to it again.

Mapper:
Smasher248

The Basics: Kino der Toten was an old dirty run down theatre. You survived Kino and escaped to tell about it. Since then you've seen many machines of mystery and horror; teleporters and time travel devices, machines that have the power to bring the dead back to life as well as alter history itself. The machines have learned from past failures and have built this new Kino in their image. A high tech merging of metal, wires, cables, electronics and a horde of new zombies stand in your way. "Who will survive, and what will be left of them?"

What We Liked: The map starts you off by setting itself apart with a really cool helicopter ride which drops you right down into the starting area. This time around there is a whole new arsenal of futuristic weaponry with different attachments to add plenty of weapon variety. There are twice as many perks as the original map, but players are still limited to pick their 4 favorites so choose wisely. The map looks amazing with Smasher giving Kino a complete futuristic overhaul along with a few minor changes to the actual map itself like additional drop-down areas to give you a bit more freedom navigating the map and may just save your life if you find yourself in trouble. Not enough can be said about how fun this map looks, it's easy to see that Smasher had a great time making this. The teleporter works great and you'll never teleport back to the spawn area only to get killed off immediately by a crowd of zombies waiting for you which is a nice feature that I'm glad he got right. Lastly, it really does feel like Kino, from beginning to end you have that familiar feeling but with a shiny new look to it.

What We Didn't Like: I've never been a fan of the Black Ops zombie map "Five" and the Pentagon Thief might be my least favorite of the bosses from any zombie map. Here is no different. One strategy you can use on the current version of the map is to keep a claymore in your hands and the Thief will take your claymores for that round and allow you to keep both guns. If the mapper fixes this then just accept the fact that you're going to lose one of your guns until you can PAP a good gun in order to deal with him - I really hate this. Also, the Nova crawlers teleport very quickly and somehow are always right at your feet which is going to lead to more than a few deaths where you may feel like you got cheated.

Final Word: All things considered this is an amazing remake that stands tall beside the likes of Nacht der Untoten Reimagined as one of the few remakes to actually get it right. If you were ever a fan of Kino this is going to feel like a dream come true and you should feel right at home on this map remembering a simpler time when an easter egg was activating a song and we played only for high round bragging rights.

Zombie Realism Mod 3.0

The first Realism Mod 3.0 map has been released, here is the announcement video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oTgLXDJ_i4

Realism Announcements 1-12 below
Spoiler: click to open...
Spoiler: click to open...
Hey guys, I wanted to make an announcment that I have been in talks with Bluntstuffy about creating a brand new Realism Mod. For those who are unfamiliar with Realism it is a Mod that once applied to a map players could choose a class such as Support, Engineer, Soldier or Medic and then level their character up by gaining XP through killing zombies and completing challenges. Here is a picture of the old Realism mod loadout menu.

Bluntstuffy is going to do his best to rebuild it from the ground up and make many needful changes along the way. I have rewritten the character classes and have made plans for more modern weaponry and perks. This is going to be quite a project but Blunt is a freakin' scripting Jiu Jitsu grandmaster and we think that we can make this a mod that everyone will enjoy.

What we need from the community though is ideas; not that every idea will be used, but they will all be considered. If you think that you have an serious idea that would make a better Realism experience then please comment below and let us know.

This is in the VERY early stages right now where Blunt and I are outlining all of our ideas, moving the pieces around, figuring out what will and won't work and really racking our brains to make this mod as fun as we can make it, so please be patient, but feel free to ask questions and offer suggestions. Thanks : )

~Tomikaze

Update #1
Spoiler: click to open...

- There are about 38 guns in the mod at the moment, not including WWs. All of the guns have anywhere from 3-6 attachment options which have already been implemented in the Mod and are functional.
- The Character Class system is getting its wrinkles ironed out but is looking good.
- Each gun can be given 15 damage upgrades similar to Advanced Warfare.
- Stats: there will be a menu that you can access I believe anytime which will keep track of almost any stat you can think of: Kills, headshots, zombies gibbed, time played, melee kills, times prestiged, points spent, # of perks bought, doors bought, how many powerups you've picked up, how many times you've upgraded a gun, how many times you've used the mystery box, etc. We love our stat tracking : )

Update #2
Spoiler: click to open...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=901n0IQfkwk&feature=youtu.be
This video addresses:
-Difficulty settings
-Character classes
-Stat tracking for both the player and guns
-Supply drops
-Weapon attachments

Update #3

Alpha Testers Needed

The mod has reached a size and scale that has become too big for just a couple people to test. So what we need are people who have the time and energy to dedicate themselves to testing everything that this mod offers and report back to myself or BluntStuffy the problems that you find, or if something is not clear enough and you need help understanding it then let us know as well.

If you are selected as a tester we ask you to do these things:
-Try out each difficulty setting and play around with the different enemy types and give us feedback on how they feel.
-Try out each character class and try to prestige with each one or at least get as close as you can.
-Try out as many different weapons as you can and focus on completing the challenges that are assigned to each gun.
-As you unlock them use different gun attachment to get a feel for how they change the experience.
-How does the the in-game menu feel to upgrade your weapons, buy perks & buy attachments?
-Do you have any issues when trying to make purchases from the menu? Example: It's not letting me add an attachment even after I've completed the necessary challenge. OR It's not letting me upgrade my gun even though I have the money.
-Please do NOT record footage of the mod/map and upload it to YouTube or any other service like that. Please do not livestream it either or take screenshots and show people; I think you get the idea. Despite what you might think of me BluntStuffy is a good guy and is working very hard on making this project a success and any leaks would be very discouraging for both of us.

Please PM me if you are good at testing these things and have the time to devote to it. I may not get back with you right away but I will put your name on a list and get you a copy of the mod as soon as I am able.

Thank you to everyone who is supporting this map, we need all the encouragement we can get  :D

Update #4
Spoiler: click to open...
Character Classes:
Here are the character classes that will be in the upcoming mod. Each class has a unique class specific perk that they will start with and cannot lose.

Medic/Sniper
With the Sniper he's a master of not only long range combat but he's proficient with his sidearm as well as being deadly with his knife. Your knife will be cutting throats like butter for a long time.
-Starts with Mele Mixture: Upgradable Knife
-Gets additional XP for reviving teamates as well as for pistol and sniper rifle kills.

Breacher
People often stay away from shotguns because you can't earn as many points with them. Well, we wanted to remove some of that stigma and encourage people to wield the shotgun without fear by reducing the cost of debris. Now go core out some chest cavities!
-Starts with Sale Ale: All doors and debris cost 25% less for this class
-Extra XP for shotgun kills

Assault
The Assault class gets from place to place quickly. Don't worry about saving up for a speed upgrade, with this guy speed kills right NOW!
-Starts with Lightweight - faster sprinting and longer sprint time than any other class.
-Extra XP for SMG & Assault Rifle kills

Tank
Nothing feels better than dealing out punishment to a horde of zombies, but punishing them for even touching you feels pretty damn good too.
-Starts with Self-defense - enemies take damage when they hit him and the zombie is dazed for a few seconds as well. Self-defense takes 10 seconds to recharge.
-Extra XP for LMG kills

Demolitionist
At the end of the day it's just more fun to watch things go BOOM! With the Demolitionist you'll be loaded down with explosives and without any fear of being too close to the action; so get in there and make some noise!
-Starts with Flack Jacket: Does not take explosive damage from any of his own weapons, does not take any fall damage.
-Extra XP for kills with all explosive weaponry and can carry extra explosives.

BluntStuffy is currently working on the map that the Realism Mod will release on and things are going very well. The map is looking very cool with lots of unique features and things that are just flat out fun to do. After we're happy with the way the map is looking he will finish up the Mod. No timetable on when it all is going to be released but we will keep you all informed and try to drop pics of the map now and then too.

Thank you to everyone who've been following this topic and is excited as we are to see this thing happen. I want to thank everyone who has helped alpha test the mod, it has helped tremendously. Also, a REALLY big thank you to JiffyNoodles and Nathiri as well as a guy named killerthekiller without your help this mod would have released with around 10 thousand bugs. You guys are awesome.
Stay tuned for more!

Update #5 Fully developed character classes  September 28th, 2016
Spoiler: click to open...
Here are some pictures of what will most likely be the final versions to the character classes. If you look off to the right side of the screen you will see the perks that become available to the players as they level up their character. Each class will have two perks that are specific to that class which will make playing each class feel unique and exciting.
The 3rd Attachment & 4th Perk Slot aren't buyable perks merely features that unlock for the player once he reaches that level.

Once you select your character you will be able to choose your starting weapon based on your characters level. This screen will also allow you to see which attachments are available for each gun and what you must do to unlock them.

I am planning on releasing a video of some gameplay footage within the next day or two so stay tuned for more. This is happening guys and we're getting closer every day. Things are really coming together nicely and BluntStuffy and I are giggling like school girls each time a new feature makes it into the mod/map and it actually works  ;D Thanks for your continued patience and support as we try to bring this freaking HUGE project to a close....god willing...one of these days  ;)

Oh, one more thing. Regarding this Realism mod and the Greenhouse map as well I have thrown every idea and the kitchen sink at Blunt and he has some-freaking-how made it all happen (or else told me the idea was too stupid). So please throw some encouragement, even monetary encouragement, his way if you get the chance.

Created by: Blink-420 ( R.I.P. Blink-420's political career)

The Basics: A racially charged map that makes the Ferguson riots look like merely a civilized exchange of ideas. The employees of this famous fried chicken restaurant are either all burn victims or else this mapper has some explaining to do to the NAACP. And why are we told to gun down countless unarmed civilians...er, zombies? This mapper better come clean and apologize for this offensive map that has just set racial equality in our country back 50 years – Oh Lawdy, Lawd!

What We Liked: The starting area playing solo was pretty tough, took me about 6 tries before I reached a safe distance from the zombie spawns. For being a small map there was still a lot to open and TONS of guns to purchase. There is even a mystery box that dispenses PAPed guns. It's got a good amount of perks as well as a PAP machine that you can teleport to. There is a buyable ending and since the map has a great last stand camping area you are sure to get your 50k pretty quick, just don't spend all your money on chicken and biscuits with the gravy from heaven...Colonial Sanders...spices...Obama...

What We Didn't Like: The fact that Rev. Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton don't make an appearance during a boss round.

Final Word: This concludes the fast food trilogy that Blink-420 has given to the world. It's fun, it's fast paced and the ammunition is endless. Grabs some friends, some fried chicken and put a few rounds into that Colonial Sanders poster and lets take back America from those white, racist, plantation owning, stupid mustache wearing, narrow minded, right wing, war mongering, arrogant, oil tycoon, gun loving, tobacco chewing, country music listening...um...not sure how to end this rant, uh...I AM TRAYVON MARTIN! Peace out!

Created by: Blink-420 (I've been kidnapped by Spiderbite and am chained up in his basement, someone help me please. God no! Here he comes again.)

The Basics: You've been dieting for SO long now and it's time to have a cheat meal. What better way to celebrate a new healthier you than by giving yourself cancer by eating at Taco Bell. Purchasing this budget banquet won't take much from your wallet but it will deplete your body of all its precious life sustaining resources as you spend the next 6 hours on the can.

What We Liked: Playing solo it was a challenge just getting out of the starting area, I'd recommend buying the Thompson off the wall as soon as you can. Once outside it's smooth sailing and watching 10 zombies all pouring off the top of a nearby building was pretty cool. If you stand underneath them and shoot straight up as a round starts you can experience the glorious bloody waterfall complete with internal organs and chunks of bone. Oh, I'm so hungry for that Volcano Burrito with extra Lava Sauce. Black Ops guns with custom names and skins, BO perks and the PAP machine.

What We Didn't Like: Taco Bell.

Final Word:
If you've made it this far then you must have a cast-iron stomach and a flame retardant sphincter...in which case - CONGRATULATIONS! You have beaten the map!

Created by: Blink-420 (legit mapper name, not fake, wink, wink – do you see me winking?)

The Basics: Welcome to America's favorite fast food eatery / lets go get explosive diarrhea for just a few bucks. Actually this map pretty well captures the experience of eating at McJiggles without the suicidal feeling afterward. Also, the typical god-awful employees are replaced with blood-thirsty zombies instead which is actually another huge step in the right direction.

What We Liked: This was a fun little map that has you fighting your way through and around an average McDonalds with Black Ops gun with custom skins and names and BO perks as well as Tranzit Zombies. There are a few doors to open. a Kino style teleporter, a PAP machine and a memorable buyable ending that will make you think twice before donating food to the less fortunate parts of the world.

What We Didn't Like: This map's not going to change your life although it is possible that you may pack on a few pounds just from playing it or you may experience an intense desire to wreck havoc on your insides by consuming food that is so vile that mold and cockroaches won't touch it.

Final Word: This map is fun for what it is and that is a few minutes of bliss before your computer's insides start backing up and churning with severe cramping and the pain and the bloating...god help me...

Creator: MidgetBlaster

Intro: This map is the new 2015 definition of insanity. This map was made just for fun by a very non-politically correct individual who not only wants to blast midgets, but has your player saying horrendous things as you liquefy group after group of Usain Bolt flavored zombies.

Postitives: A town where bloody snow falls from the sky, zombies explode out of the ground in a full on sprint, you've got more weapons than in every war mankind has fought & there are more colors here than at the Crayola factory. With Halo guns at your disposal including the energy sword, the Advanced Warfare AE4, perks out the ying-yang and the lunar landers are here and are essential to use (hint, hint PAP Machine, hint, hint). The PAPed guns on this map are balls to the wall insane; I've sent a hellhound flying over a building with the paped Raygun - it was pure magic. This map has tons of cleverly designed buildings with escape route at every turn and a high level of detail in many places. There are lots of soul chests to fill as well as a steep 420,000 point buyable ending, but getting interest with the bank makes that much more doable.

Negatives: SPRINTERS FROM THE BEGINNING!!! I understand that the running zombies are about the only thing that gives this map ANY challenge, but that is a design flaw in my opinion and people cover up these mistakes by doing their absolute best to make sure rounds 1-3 are the hardest things you will ever do...harder than coming out of the closet to your parents or performing open heart surgery with zero prior experience.

Conclusion: Yes, this map is SUPER fun even with its glaring drawback. Once you get Jug and Staminup you will never get touched by a zombie again, from then on just enjoy all of the wonderful goodies this map has packed into it.

In light of Jiffy wanting to atone for gross error. I thought I should come clean and apologize for all of the errors I have made in assessing people's maps incorrectly. To all of the mappers who's maps I have made humorous reviews for I am very sorry. If you could see me now I have tears in my eyes. Those kind folks didn't deserve all of the hilarious things I said about their quality efforts and Jiffy has helped me see that making apology after apology is very cathartic. Thank you Jiffy and once again sorry to the mappers I've hurt, I shall never again make another custom zombie map review, please forgive me.

Creators: AwesomePieMan, HexZombies, JBird632 & RadimaX

Setting: And so it begins... You find yourself in a small room with only the Pack-a-Punch machine and a MP5K on the wall, too bad you don’t have enough money for either. You look around further but within seconds you are ejected out into the cold waters of the deep and dropped down beside an ocean floor research facility. Sharks swim around you sizing up their next meal. You notice a sign above your head which reads “Reception”, you stagger toward it, you need air badly  and things are going dim. Your chest is tight, you can’t take it anymore and you prepared to breathe in the salty frigid water if it will just end the pain. You inhale, but instead of water air fills your lungs. You've made it! You grab a PES (Pressurized External Suit) and go through the doors in front of you.
Yea, this is just the beginning. This has all the feel of James Cameron’s The Abyss meets Deep Blue Sea (yes, I love that movie). It is an underwater homage to the Black Ops I map Moon and stays true to its source material in a very respectful but ambitious manner.

Positives: This map perfectly captures being inside an underwater facility in every way imaginable and it looks amazing doing it. Every area is detailed exactly the way it needs to be done. Maybe my favorite moment which embodies this map for me was when I was in one of the clear glass tunnels taking in the amazing detail of the sea floor and other buildings around me and then out of the corner of my eye I saw a shark swim by just minding its own business. It was awe-inspiring to say the least.
The map is massive, probably the biggest map ever created in the custom zombie world and detailed in a way that tells me that some serious studying and research went into making this undersea world come alive. Nothing is overkill either, not every square foot of the map is covered in circuit boards, blood marks and rust stains. It would be easy to go overboard here and to think that enough is never enough, but the detailing is done just right with emphasis placed where it needs to be.
There is also a fully developed quest that you can go on if you’d like to complete the map. It is completely audio driven which keeps you more engrossed in the story than reading text on your screen. The voice acting is good, if a bit over the top, but as a big fan of B-movies I love me some good sci-fi overacting any day of the week. For a guy stuck in an aquatic stasis tube for months on end that guy can sure belt it out with some serious passion.
Lastly, the guns on the map are made up entirely of JBird’s Black Ops I mod which means that you have a very solid weapon set, but the guns are so familiar you’ll be thinking less about the guns and more about the map itself – possibly an intentional move on the part of the mappers.

Negatives: There are a couple issues with this map that I’ve got to mention. There have been many times that while booting the map up you’ll be given error messages causing the map to not start, there may be times that you load the map up and all you see is a gun floating in the air, you may also start the map and be unable to see how many perks you have or what powerup drops are floating in the air. Hear this though; all of these problems can be fixed by a simple reboot.
I also have heard that the map may crash during gameplay but this should be few and far between. If you want to get the maximum FPS you can tweak a graphical setting but this will cause massive amounts of pop-in to take place. This was rather distracting. Otherwise, going for lower FPS will reward you with near perfect visuals.
Lastly, in this category, for those people wanting the latest arsenal of high tech weaponry you won’t find it here, if you can forgive this though or really like BOI guns then disregard.
It would have also been VERY nice to be able to complete the objective with less than 4 players because who the heck has 3 friends out there, right?

Conclusion: There have been large maps made before, there have also been maps made with a high level of detail and there have been maps made with lengthy objectives as well; but never has a map been so large and so detailed and still maintained an obsessive level of commitment to quality, presentation and storytelling.

Level of Detail: 10/10
Custom Content: 10/10
Fun Scale: 10/10
Replayability: 10/10

Score: 40/40

Note: I was trying to think of where to take a point off of if I was going to take one off, but I still feel that with what's currently wrong with the map that it's still a 10 in each of these categories.
