Die Festung was a map that was a rushed and released shortly after the open release of the Black Ops 3 Mod tools. After many bored time of playing this map that had a lot of potential I decided it's time to go back to the drawing board and fix all these things that were wrong or were lacking.

So here today I bring you the Die Festung Remastered.

Kinda have 2 projects on the go but this should be easy to maintain since this map is technically ready for release because I have done some edits but I'd prefer to keep it waiting till I feel I've touched up every room that had a problem. My major goal was to touch up my majorly rushed rooms but mainly redo my training spot that also had a pathing error.

Looks good so far. I'd suggest adding some cosmetic debris (barrels, loose paper, etc) in the hallways and open rooms, make it a tad more interesting than flat floor/wall textures. Can't wait to see more!

Will do, I'm slowly trying to edit rooms and keep model limits down so adding paper(textures) and blood will be great floor filler. I will also start to add some Fx's in later on, like smoldering smoke, light beams, perk lights, leaking pipes, flashing lights.

Hoping to like some of the lights up to the power as well to make the map feel alive.

why would I do that?

Your map looks nice from what I have seen. Be carefull giving .map files to others because there's a possibility they will steal it.  ;)

I don't like giving .map files because the map has a load of ported models in it from different cods and some I do in blender. just a huge pain to deal with

Thx, did a once over on the map again. trying to add some colours that make the map look nicer and play easier.

Added missing shaders, death machine, bonus points, blue muzzle flash, upgradable wonder weapons, removed ray gun, detail

the auger and the 4 wonder weapons aren't pack a punchable and will there be more weapons and is the complete beta for download right now or the download page has the same beta from before

Weapons will  be pack a punch able and auger should b a death machine drop in the updated download. I might add a couple weapons.

oh does it have to be a death machine drop I see it more suitable to be a box weapon as it isn't that powerful to be a drop

I increased the damage on the death machine and made it have no recoil at all. It's a lot nicer drop in my eyes.

Becuase im still learning and making room for blender someday and i would like to know this step here, (about, student version) if no one is welling to take there time then i guess ill just FUCKEN RENT This fucken thing cause looks like you cant buy it anymore becauae of twicth showing off. (Back then) and seems like a respondable post here to anyone haha

I use to use maya but blender is free. Maya is only good if u want to do weapons and player/zombie model

I'm saying you can use the student version to port models and stuff. you just need to install the plug in is all!

Ok so I've pretty much have had it with the round sound it works till round 6 and stops. if anyone knows how to fix it please tell me or im going to post the map without it unfortunately.

Hey I remember this, it looks a lot more feature complete than the last time I saw it! Rooms look a lot more detailed and IW features are underrated imo, glad to see them here. Have you considered using a vision file to make colors pop out more? The grungy looking WaW assets paired with the bright and colorful IW perks and weapons seem like they could be blended better with higher contrast, stronger bloom, more saturation, etc.

Added a Shader Mod for people to install if they want. The map doesn't need T4M because I took the 2 seconds to fix it. Also just updated the link one last time which also put the Zap guns in the box and also added this raygun that fires like a semi mark2

You install it the same as t4m it’ll remove T4M but is worth it can always reinstall
