Run command prompt as administrator.
Type
SxsTrace trace -logfile:sxstrace.etl
Press enter. Run asset manager from bin folder. Press enter in command prompt to stop the log.
Type
SxsTrace parse -logfile:sxstrace.etl -outfile sxstrace.txt
Press enter. Log txt is created in c/windows/system32/

Search for the lines starting with "ERROR:". Post it here.
Do not post the entire log.

This missing version (x86) 8.0.50727.762 from the error you posted leads to this file. Its 2.6mb.

After installing it load asset manager again from launcher and the bin folder.
If it doesn't work then use sxstrace again and there will be a newer error.

Finally now the asset manager starts from both the launcher and the / bin folder ....
