So far I have been able to use the UGX map manager, however I seem to be having some trouble when it comes to downloading games from the UGX Forum for new releases.
how do I manage to play the community maps when UGX map manager wont let me add any files or other maps?

wait downloading games ? wha ? u mean other maps and also u can't add  all and play  the community maps in the ugx map manager, only the best of the best maps can be put in the manager. The map manager hasn't been used for awhile for people to put their maps in it

I am trying to download The Swan from the mod manager and when it finishes downloading and copying, I close the UGX Mod manager app. When I open WAW, I select the mod (which is "nazi_zombie_lost") and it doesn't appear to load anything. It looks as if I just opened WAW for the first time. I checked my files and there are no loose files and it genuinely looks like nothing is wrong. Is this a recurring problem?

heyy and u need to type in the console devmap nazi_zombie_lost which will work, as u selected it from the mods list, when u launch it
 
also make sure u have appdata enabled too, cuz its a hidden folder file in the system, to use  for all custom zombie maps/mods to work in for cod waw in the game
